I feel like a bit of a nerd to be up at 1:30 on Christmas Eve posting pictures on PS, but if it makes me seem any cooler (haha) I don''t have kids yet, so my DH and I stay up really really late whenever we get a chance, including on Christmas Eve!
What am I talking about... I don''t need to make excuses to you all, right?
I just want to show off my new ring!
My original e-ring was an EC sapphire solitaire (see pic below). I love sapphires and loved the ring, but always longed for something more shiney
and sparkly
. When we got married in May, I got a .80tcw half eternity band (10 x .08ct stones), thinking that would satify my need (obsession?), but of course it didn''t, and actually the sparkle of the band detracted from my sapphire so I was not yet satisfied. So for Christmas we got an upgrade! We re-set the sapphire in a three stone ring with two diamond EC side stones. The band on the new ring is only 2mm, and we got the ring made with a cut out in the basket so that my 2mm wedding band sits flush with the e-ring. Then when I want extra bling, I can also wear my eternity band using the simple gold band as a spacer so there is no gap between the eternity band and the e-ring! I looove it.
Hopefully this will satisfy my need to sparkle for a few more years
Stats (as much as I know off the top of my head):
Sapphire:
.92ct
violitish blue
Side diamonds:
.49ct and .47ct
one D and one F (they are idenitical in colour to the naked eye)
Finger size: 5.75
