Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site and love it so far! I got engaged almost 2 months ago (on the 4th of july

!) and learned about PS shortly after. I''ve been wanting to join for a while but had to deal with an unexpected move and all the joys that come along with that (I''ve enjoyed the eye candy in the meantime though)!

Anyway so I LOVE LOVE LOVE my ring (and my wonderful FI)- it''s everything I could have asked for (which happened to be princess and pave)! It was between this one and one from GOG (used to live very close).

But I''m wondering if it would be considered a three-stone? I wanted a three stone look but think mine has more of a "solitaire with side-stones" look. Either way, I love it and don''t think I''d consider changing it (not yet at least

). Actually I would consider changing it to something in platinum from white gold because my skin usually doesn''t do well with white gold.

Your input is greatly appreciated

By the way here are the ring stats:

We got the stone from Blue Nile. Not familiar with PS, we had never heard of White Flash or many of the other vendors. But we''re very happy with the stone

Welcome Rukia

Congrats on your engagement! Your ring is beautiful and it definitely looks like a 3-stone ring to me. It's truly stunning!

ETA...I just saw the profile shot that you posted. I see what you mean about it looking like a solitaire with sidestones. I still love it!

Gorgeous ring!

I love how the small sidestones make your center stone pop. I''m not sure how I would classify it. I have an asscher with teeny pear sidestones (only about .20 carats each) and the jeweller stated that it was not a three stone ring because of the delicate side stones, but I think the fact that they are different shapes is a major reason why. You could classify this as either, but in any case it''s beautiful! Congrats and enjoy!

more like a sidestone setting...either way i love the icy white

Thanks!!

Yeah, I can''t decide either! But I guess as long I''m in love with it, it doesn''t matter. My side stones are small too, .15 each. There are also 30 really little guys.

Either way, I think it''s georgeous. I agree with mostly everyone and say it''s a three stone ring. BTW, is that a Tacori setting? Looks like one.

Very pretty ring! I had a very similar ering originally, a 1.52 center princess with .25ctw princess side stones. Like yours, from the profile it didn''t seem very 3 stone-ish but from the top it did in a way. I don''t know what the technical definition of 3stone is, but you have a GoRgEoUs ring no matter how you slice it. Makes me miss mine.

...sniff, sniff.......a lot........I''ll now be heading down the hall to sneak a peek of the old gal on our wedding portrait.......

Congratulations! And I would have guessed that your center was BIGGER than 1.08!

wow I can''t believe that''s only 1.08 carats. It looks like at least 1.5! It''s gorgeous. Three stone, one stone, whatever you call it...it''s very pretty and suits your hand well!

Totally gorgeous. Personally, that''s my favorite "3-stone" look - I like it that the sidestones are smaller, so they don''t overwhelm the center stone. Congrats on your ring!

I consider it beautiful!

But I can see what you mean. The difference between the main diamond and the other two is so great that they play more of a sidestone role. Of course, with a diamond that size, I don''t think a 3 stone ring would be possible.

Wear in joy and good health!

Thank you so much, everyone

After so much scrutinizing and second-guessing, I really think this is the "three-stone" for me too. Although, maybe the side stones could be set higher...who knows? I could go back and forth all day!

Sadly, it''s not a Tacori (i wish!!). though that''s the look we were going for, but a bit more simple. Our wedding isn''t for a two more years so I have plenty more time to agonize over it. I LOVE the Tacori with princess center and trillion sides!

Does anyone have it one PS? I''d love to see!

btw, for my bday, my FI upgraded the .15''s from G/H to F but I feel like the jeweler did a poor job positioning the stones --- can you see it in the last pic in the stone on the right?

It''s so great to know that PS is here as a space to vent these little nagging concerns where people not only understand, but offer thoughtful and constructive feedback too

Thanks all.

this tacori setting is AMAZING

I do think your ring is lovely. The tacori setting you posted is amazing!

I would consider it a princess center with princess side stones. I would also classify it as a three stone, but not your typical looking 3 stone. It''s very elegant, I love it! It''s gorgeous!

Very pretty! Looks like a side stone to me because the side stones are set low.

Welcome

Thank you for sharing your very beautiful ring! I really can''t decide whether it is a three stone or not, but it really does look gorgeous (and huge) on your hand! The stats on your ring are divine too.

Congrats!
