My new find - diamond band..

Not the best pics here, but I was excited to share my new purchase with you guys !
Its an approx. 0.5ct channel set diamond band, 14k WG. I''ve yet to confirm the specs, so hopefully I will be able to share that tomorrow.
I know channel set is not popular much around here, and I also thought I wouldn''t like it - But funny how things change when you actually get to try different styles on!
It is sooo pretty - very white and sparkly, and all the sweeter as I got it for a bargain basement price

Anyway, onto the pics ! I will share some better ones when I have more time..

the cuts look really decent too, I''m pretty sure I can peek arrows when louping it, will try to capture later..

Yes! absolutely, I can't wait to brag about it, lol ! And I must say Ms treasure-hunter Beau, you have been quite an inspiration! This band was a steal, although not quite as amazing as your finds after the rubbish xchange rate, but still less than 30% retail

My next aim is to win a darling vintage wedding ring, VC style - if I like it enough, I may even use it as my "proper" w-band.
I really hope no one nips that one, I've got a keen eye on it!

Thanks M.G.R - I will be sure to do that when the sun is out tomorrow..Its alot too big for my ring finger, but it still looks pretty.
It also looks really nice with my first ering, which is a WG 3 stone.
I will do more pics

Thankyou MMMD - I never thought I''d like channel set, after lusting after bead set and pave rings etc. But when I went to try on w-rings for the first time, channel looked fantastic with my solitaire while not much else did.
So after coming across this bargain, I thought I''d take channel set for a test drive

TY gemgirl, I agree - I''m probably too clumsy for a delicate pave band,lol..

Thanks Onedrop! I have no idea on the dimensions - its probably about 3mm at the top, but it gets quite wide and heavy at the bottom, maybe to around 4mm? I will try to get a pic for you tomorrow, and ask about measurements when I get it checked out.

Oh, I love this combination, and the band itself as a stand-alone! Like you, I thought I wouldn''t love channel-set ... until I tried them on in person and fell in love. I think it''s the magnification that puts a lot of people off of them: the gaps that are huge at 100x aren''t really noticable IRL (that, or it''s the backlash against their intense popularity a while ago). Congratulations on a beautiful find! And, please, more pics ...

Thankyou Circe! I agree, I think there is part backlash and part magnification - either way, the gaps are hardly noticeable IRL and its very pretty imo..
Isn''t it funny though how we convince ourselves we will not like certain things?

So, good news, I took it to 2 different jewellers today, and it checks out a-ok - There are 9 diamonds at 6 points each, total 0.54ct. The colour is G/H and clarity VS2 - which is exactly what I was told it is

I am impressed with the quality and will buy from this seller again
