my new furbaby!

Some of you may have read my break up post in LIW where I mentioned getting a puppy. Here he is!!!! His name is Rhett (as in Butler). He is a long-haired (though he doesnt look it-maybe more like medium hair) chihuahua. They call his color "blue", and I think he is precious!!! He will be ~6lbs full grown. I have to wait a month to go get him, since I move next weekend and have a vacation weekend after that. I am reading as much as I can about puppy care and training, I am so excited! I have wanted a dog forever. I can''t wait to take him to the park, etc.! Here''s hoping my cats like him too

ROFL!! That is too funny. Poor Rhett! I called to set up his first appt today, and they were all kinds of confused about his name. It doesn't help that I take my cat there too, and she has a crazy name. I am a HUGE GWTW nerd, and wanted the name. They had two puppies, and this one just fit the name best!

Ninama, I am so glad you think blues are pretty, I have never seen one in person! I will be sure to post more pics when he gets here. Is Chuy the final name choice? Yours is ADORABLE!! Love those ears. Rhetts don't stand up that much, is that a bad thing??? I am new to the Chi scene!

His ears will almost certainly perk up in a few weeks... Chuy''s sister''s ears just popped up this week. Dayum, he''s so cute!

Chuy is what we call him, yes. Chuy is the nickname for Jesus (hey-zeus), which is short for his over-the-top-pretend-show dog name: "El Poco Luz de Jesus".

Octavia... they''re getting there, but the right ear still has to catch up to the left. The more excited she is, the more upright the ear is. Sleeping.... not so much.

To much puppy cuteness we can''t take it! What a cool "blue" color. You are going to get great photos with that. Have a ton of fun and take a million pictures and tons of video. That is a really wonderful name also-he looks like he has tons of fun personality and awesome puppy attitude.
