My new pendant... (and soon, others)

So.. I've really been wanting some studs and/ or a pendant! I talked BF into going into a store to look with me (I consider this store the in between a B&M and Whiteflash). Anyways, I was trying on studs, and pendants and absolutely could not make up my mind. I asked bf to help me out.. and he was all, "No, what do YOU want." and I'm thinking, "I want both!!" Haha. Anyways after me trying on studs I started leaning towards the pendant because I could at least see it some of the time

Ok anyways, I'm trying on pendants now, and couldn't choose. There was a 4-prong that was closer to what he wanted to spend on my EARLY V-DAY GIFT hehe.. but I kept leaning towards the 3 prong. It was more than he wanted to spend for a holiday 6 weeks away, but after a moment he was like, "Ok, fine, you can have the one you want, AND you can upgrade it 2 times this year. But only twice.." Both me and the jeweler were like

. Of course I was so super excited and was saying, "Really? EEE! REALLY?!! Aww! REALLY?!" LOL (this is coming from a guy that does NOT understand my jewelry obsession but has decided to give in to it

) SOOO.. then I asked, "Perhaps we could trade in those "upgrades" and just get studs too??"

Semi-joke. Anyways, I got the pendant I wanted and bf seemed pretty please with himself that he can knows the difference between settings.

He went to pay for it, and the jeweler asked if he wanted it gift wrapped. I was thinking I would have to wait until Feb14 to get it, but I got it now! hehe. Again I was shocked, "REALLY REALLY REALLY?"

My BF's response was, "WELL, yeah. I can't imagine you waiting 6 weeks for this AND not having your ring at the same time. I'd be hearing 'How's my ring? Is my pendant lonely? Tell me how sparkly it is!' the entire time, so this should tide you over for a bit" HAHA. I told one of my friends this and she said, "I hope A doesn't think that he can just buy you things instead of proposing"

It was pretty cute.

And, I really must say taking good pictures of jewelry is much harder than it looks. I've packed up a lot of my stuff because I'm moving at the end of the month.. so I only had my sony cyber-shot to take pictures with!

The diamond is g/si1 and .25 set in white gold with the coolest adjustable chain ever.

Oh and here is a picture, until I get to post the rest of my stuff (which isn't much).

OK so I''m posting my other babies and then more of the pendant.. This ring I got from my mother instead of a class ring.. in ''00 (I graduate ''02 though). It''s a oval sapphire and SO dark.

This ring I got from my grandmother (it was hers). I couldn''t get good pictures.. It fits my pinky. It has bright, white, TOTALLY CLEAR diamonds, but the setting needs work (ahem, missing side stones) and she literally smashed down the top 8 prongs to almost paper thin!

This is also a piece I got from g''ma. It ALSO needs work because the gold is smashed to smitheriens. These are emeralds, and are really included, but they are crystal clear otherwise. When wearing it as a ring you can''t see the inclusions, only when held up to a light source. This is also yellow gold, which I don''t wear, but some how this ring is so tacky, I kinda like it. It also has 8 teeny diamonds. I really want to get this one fixed soon.

Jeez, yeah. If you look, the prongs are FLAT and I''m scared to wear this until it gets fixed! Jeez g''ma!

This ring isn''t fancy schmancy, but my (dead) aunt gave this to my mom, who gave it to me, and I guess I''ll give it to my daughter if I have one? It''s sterling silver, and turquoise, and enamel... it fits my pinky and it''s from the 70s or something? Not a big deal, but I wore this a lot when I was younger

I love this ring. It''s my moms though. My G''ma gave it to her... and it also needed extensive prong help. Then, my mother had the band cut off, and hand it put on a HUGE white gold band.

It looked so much better with the thin YG band. It''s diamonds and rubies, that''s all I know..

Did I mention I''m not happy my mom got this? She never wears it, and when she does, she wears it while cleaning.. (windows, glass). Whatever.

I told my mom that when I "get it" I''m going to have the band replaced. She says, "How do you know I''m not going to give it to my daughter in-laws..?" I have two brothers, both, younger and not even engaged. Pfft.

I appreciate everyones kind words. I know these are really not the best looking pieces, but they are mine, and I really wasn't into diamonds before.. (I liked them, just didn't care either way.) Now that I know so much more, I am so in love with them

Here you can see the prongs are WG, and the band WAS YG, but the bottom part is still YG, smashed on a thick WG band.

I have no idea why my mom wanted such a huge band.. probably because her e-ring and w-ring are 1mm!?

Last one. This is a dirty ring too! It''s kinda cool, in regular light the rubies look really red, but in bright sunny light they can get a red/purple look to them.
