After months of dithering (and acquiring a few new stones) I finally bit the bullet and decided on what to do next. I''m going to set my oval yellowish-green chrysoberyl in a 5 stone ring. The side stones will be pink tourmalines and diamonds. I''ve okayed the rendering and it''s been sent off for the wax to be made. The colors in the rendering are way, way brighter and more intense than the actual stones. The picture of all the stones is more accurate than the rendering but that''s not saying much.
The rendering. For casting/finishing purposes, bezels and prongs are bigger than they''ll end up being.
The stones. The pink tourmaline is not so raspberry looking as it is in this photo. The chrysoberyl is fairly close though.
Eventually I will have to decide if I want to leave it plain or have it engraved and/or millgrained. Is there any way to photoshop engraving/millgraining onto that rendering pic?
Oh and this is being done by Bostonian Jewelers.
