Well, I''ve been lurking on this site for years----since I got my original e-ring and band back in March ''02! My original ring was a 1.52ct. princess on a platinum band with very small princess side stones (.25 ctw) with a bar set .50 ctw 7 stone princess band. I always received many many compliments on my rings, but I was honestly never happy with the diamond---it was a very poor cut H SI2 EGL that MIGHT have been a J I1 on a good day.... ANYHOW, on a recent jeweler inspection a chip was found on the girdle. I hadn''t noticed it but once they pointed it out I was like "OH MY GOSH!". It was pretty bad........well, much to my relief it was covered by insurance (DH calls me a "Bull in a China Cabinet" and has always made sure my jewelry was covered...). So, a couple of weeks ago I handed over my engagement ring and received a check to go start over. I had always longed for a classic round solitaire with an eternity band.......I went straight to this board to view all of your gorgeous rings and quickly knew that a round solitaire with eternity band WAS exactly what I wanted. Here''s what I got! (geez I wish I had a pic of the old rings to show you WHAT an improvement, and huge difference, these are. Take my word for it, I am on CLOUD NINE with these new rings!). I just wanted to share and let you all know how grateful I am that I had such a great place to go to for information on picking a nice diamond!
