Hello Friends,
My Ritani reset from Pearlman's arrived on Saturday. I couldn't be happier. Now, for a little Oscar style acceptance speech . . .
I'd like to thank my DH who puts up with me and spoils me rotten. The ordeal started about a year ago when I broke my original thin yellow gold band opening a pickle jar. When I reset my stone into a thick platinum band, a chip in the girdle appeared. (I suspect the jeweler chipped the diamond during the reset, but have no proof.) Luckily, I had insurance. The new stone faces up a little smaller, but it's a much better cut and has a GIA cert. The thick platinum band never grew on me. I missed my dainty thin band. For my 40th birthday, my sweet DH gave me a budget to reset my stone. (First, he printed up a photo of the ugliest ring he could find and wrapped it in a jewelry box with a note that said that he knew I was unhappy with the new setting and that this beauty was on it's way!)
Next, I'd like to thank Julian Chase at Pearlman's Jewelers. Julian was a joy to work with. He worked with my budget and kept me informed every step of the way. Pearlman's had the very best price on Ritani. I would never shop anywhere else for designer jewelry.
Now, without further ado, some photos. It's a 1.39 ct, I color, SI1. The setting it the Ritani Classic, also known as the Endless Love without the Halo, in platinum. Ring size 5.75.
