Proposal story over in the LIW forum: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/im-off-the-list-photos-included.77903/

Stats from Whiteflash:

.553, I color, VS2, four star WF rating, depth 69.2, table 69.1, crown angle 34, crown percent 10.8, pavilion angle 54.5, pavilion percent 55.4, girdle extremely thin to thick, 4.72x4.71x3.26, excellent polish, very good symmetry, pointed cutlet, negligbiel flourescence.

And she''s in the 4-prong white gold Tiffany-style setting, 18k, platinum head.

I was looking at princess cuts, but decided I liked the X-Factor''s unique cut and the idea of more safety from chipped corners, etc. My fiancé loves it, too!

It''s just lovely! Huge congratulations to you and your future husband!

Thank you! I''m so glad we were able to find Pricescope/Whiteflash, because I''m really proud of this ring and all the work that went into knowing it was a good deal. The appraisal papers with replacement value make me very happy, too.

I like the cut corners of the Xfactor for the same reasons you mentioned, and I love how they made princess cuts into a gorgeous octagon shape.

Congrats on a lovely ring! I love how the xfactor can be set with small prongs instead of the vtips like regular princess stones.

Jenn, I totally agree about the prongs. I feel a lot safer with this style of prong with the X-factor cut vs. the normal princess V setting. I''m pretty hard on my hands, since I work in a library, and am concerned about giving her a good whack someday and doing something awful.

And isis, re: the band question: I''m not sure yet. I really like the look of a 7- or 9-stone (like the smallest shared prong RB that the Facets Collection offers), but may just get a plain white gold band at first for the wedding. FH and I are both students, so I''m just really overly happy/excited that I got something as large and as nice as this ring.

It''s gorgeous! Delicate but not fragile looking. It looks wonderful on your hand, too. Well done on the research and choices you made.

It really is a beauty! Congrats again!

Very pretty! Congrats on your engagement!

I love it!! It looks perfect on your hands, that is exactly the size I want when I get a diamond solitaire! And our fingers are the same size... hmmmm...come to think of it, what library do you work at? Can I use my library card to borrow it??

Wear it with pride, and if it were me I''d get a plain gold band. Let that lovely diamond be the star of the show!
