My New Yellow Sapphire and Diamond Eternity Ring

Our locally-owned, high-end B&M here in town is under new management, and is having a 75% off sale to clear out old samples, returns, etc. I dropped in last week to oogle at the pretties. I asked the sales clerk what the best deal was, and she brought out a tray of rings and showed me a Lazarre Kaplan diamond 9-stone ring set in heavy platinum. Nice, but not my style. Then I spotted this yellow sapphire and diamond eternity ring bar set in platinum. Tried it on. A perfect fit. Louped it. Perfectly formed, tiny silver arrows winked back at me. I fell in love.

I never intended to buy a full eternity ring for myself, but after hanging out here on PS for the last 6 months, I suspected the asking price was a great deal.

I discussed the ring that night with hubby, checked the prices on Facets, and concluded that it was a great item. It was take it, or leave it, and I decided to take it.

So, here are some pictures of my new full eternity ring with 9 yellow sapphires, 1.21 ctw and 9 G SI1 diamonds, 0.90 ctw, all bar set in platinum Ring size is approx 7 3/8. Nice yellow sapphire color and all stones are bright and sparkly.

So pretty with the delicate yellow snap dragons. I think the ring is really light. But when I tried to put the ring in the "mouth" of the flower, it was too heavy. So, it is on the stalk, like another flower.

The yellow color is a bit different than a lot of sapphire rings I see, but really neat. My e-ring is set with yellow diamond side stones, so I know I love the yellow stone and white diamond look.

Thank you, Kaleigh. Yep, without PS I wouldn't have known, and would have passed it up.

But, with all of the browsing here, I knew how much these rings generally go for.

The pics were fun. The flowers are the real stars.

Thank you, Love in Bloom. Yes, the colors are light and bright, like a summer day. I find myself wearing lighter pieces in the summer. The bigger, heavier rings are just too much. This one is definitely a summer ring.

Thanks, Woobug! I''m wearing it on my right hand, although it does look fabulous with my ering. I just don''t want to scratch up the e-ring or ding the stones in the eternity band.
