I know, I have been through many ring changes...but this one seems to be the "longest-kept" ring so far ;) I got it last November...and have been in love with it ever since. I thought it is now due a spot in SMTR...I am aware that I have had many, and not all share in my joy, but I am really liking the more classic look of it, and it works well with my everyday attire, etc...my husband also surprised me with the re-set (we talked about it, but he took into Tiffany''s without telling me...instead saying it was being engraved)...

Ring Specs:
Tiffany & Co
1.50 Emerald Cut
E, VS1
.44cttw Trapezoid Cut Diamonds
D,E VS1
Platinum Sz 6

(originally it had trilliants, and I was not too fond of the step cut with brilliant cut faceting).

The band is newish too; I still have my knife-edge from Tiffany, which was used at my wedding last July, but it was REALLY, REALLY uncomfortable, so we got the Tiffany rounded band at 1.5mm instead; I wear it most days, and when brave, wear the knife-edge.

Thank you all so much! Radiant_Lover, I do feel lucky, thank you!!! Sometimes for us PS people, it is easy to lust after everyone''s rings ( I do this TOO often) and you forget how lucky you are do have a darling husband or SO AND a great ring. I should count my blessings.

I absolutely love ec''s and this set us especially! Congrats!

Thank you; I am partial to ECs, but my problem was ALWAYS dealing with the lack of sparkle, especially living in flashy Southern California...but the older I get, and more comfortable, I realize I just need to go with what works for me :)

The trilliants added sparkle, but I thought the look just was 100% right...aside from halos, I personally do not like step-cuts with brilliant cut facets...but there are always exceptions.

This is fantastic! I love how it turned out. I did not realize Tiffany would do this type of work. Was it difficult for your DH to get them to remake the ring?

I know you have had a few, and I thought you traded this one in for a Legacy. Did I remember wrong?

I really love this look, far better than the trillions and I remember how that was. Very nice reset!

It''s STUNNING, I love it

Beacon-Yes, Tiffany did the work really easily (according to him). It took 2 weeks to get a quote back from NYC, then 3 weeks to make. They were super nice to deal with.

I did trade the trillants in for the Legacy using an estate jewelry. However, the diamond turned out to be an "I", and not the color stated, so it bothered me

he kindly traded back, and then a few months later, my husband did the re-set.

I like it a lot better than the trilliants; I do LOVE the Legacy still though, but it didn't work out, and this was another style I have always liked.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Loriken213-I did post some photos in July of 2008, not sure where the thread is, but I could always post another short thread. I am also FINALLY doing a slide show, maybe when I finish it, I can post the link.

Tuckins1, and all the posters of the above comments, THANK YOU! I am so glad I am getting similar reactions to the one I have. I love the more streamlined, classic look...versus the more modern look on the ring with the trilliants!
