Not teasing...you have to look at Show Me the Ring! I''d never be too busy to pick up a ring from Leon''s! (Although he mails them, too!)Date: 5/29/2008 10:14:09 PM

I thought you were too busy planning your wedding to be shopping/bragging/teasing us?
Does saying that I am a multi-tasker constitute bragging? I hope I am wrong. However, I and a few others have noticed that you have been rather rude to me of late (emoticons do not negate that). I believe, in good faith, that I have not done anything to offend you. In fact, when you joined this board, asking for somebody to look into Khordipour, I was the first to volunteer. Please do not sully my joy with negativity.Date: 5/29/2008 10:14:09 PM

I wronged Leon. He''s already made "good progress" on the spinel.Date: 5/29/2008 10:27:16 PM

Linda, Marcy,
The spinel''s still loose! Leon only wants to work on one of my projects at a time.

I do and it is. The problem is that the spinel with which I fell in love is not the spinel I now have in my ring. It is a long and very boring story. The spinel I have is very pretty and is red enough, but it is not the traffic light red spinel I originally bought. It is not the stone that swept me off my feet. It will always be second best. No one who looks at the ring knows it but me, but I know it. Some day I will take a photo of the current stone. It looks pinkish to me. The sidestones are great, though. They are well cut, good clarity, D color diamonds!Date: 5/30/2008 10:21:07 AM

Hi Deb,
You have a red spinel, right? Is it set? My solitaire is a 3.5+ ACA, I colour, VS2.

OH MY GOODNESS HARRIET!!!
I can''t believe that my post was perceived as insulting or rude: I was joking! It was not in any way meant as sarcasm.
I try to be very sensitive about people''s feelings here on the forum, and in fact try really hard to be positive and supportive. Whenever I feel myself drawn to post to any negativity, I don''t because I am so aware that things in writing don''t always come off the way they were intended.
But I can only guess by your response that my sense of humour is not translating very well.
You are right: you were the VERY FIRST ONE to help me with my sapphire ring search and Khordipour, and I''ve always held you in esteem for your supportive posts to us newbies.
I am so surprised and sorry that you feel this way, as I truly had NO IDEA that I had hurt your feelings.
I was trying to enjoy your joy!
I hope you can accept my apology.

ETA: I feel like I just punched myself in the gut (figuratively speaking). I can''t believe that I could have insulted someone here.
Sorry to hear that Deborah. If you ever want to vent, I''m frequently bored.Date: 5/30/2008 8:02:19 PM

Harriet you are so naughty! Please promise that when you DO get your red spinel, and all your other beauties, that you will take some pictures of all of your colored candies together... or ask one of your friends to take pictures, any measures necessary to satisfy my craving!

I''m so glad that it was just miscommunication. No hard feelings on my end whatsoever.

Thank you DS for your kindness. I am glad to hear that I haven''t unintentionally ticked off the whole planet.
I think I''ll go and over to the hangout thread, make a tin foil tiara and play with my stapler.
