My ring dream... NOT my dream ring!

So, I had a dream last night that my SO proposed... I don''t remember how he did it, but I do remember that the ring was HIDEOUS!! I can remember every detail of it! I wish I could draw it for you.

It was gigantic (and not in a good way)... it was diamond-shaped (like a square turned on it''s corner) - like a platform of metal... and it had one 0.5ct bezel set diamond in the middle, surrounded by tons of tiny bezel set dimonds, randomly placed. You could also see a LOT of metal, and it appeared to be copper. THEN!! there were metal "strings" coming off of it with dimonds attached to the end of the "strings"... LOL!!

If you could only see inside my head. I remember calling my best friend in my dream and crying to her, and I felt SOOO bad telling my SO anything other than I love it. ha ha!! Thought I''d share!

I''ve had a few "not my dream ring ring dreams" before. I''ve always woken up clutching my left hand in a weird elated (that he proposed) and sad (because of the ring) state.

I myself have had similar dreams as well. Lets all hope it eventually goes OUR way in the end............

(There are good dreams but then there are ones that you wish don''t come true) lol

I''ve had dreams just like this... though not with diamonds attached to strings LOL. What an akward situation to be in!

i too have those dreams! some, the ring even melted!!

then i realized, i may act like i dont care what style he gets me, becuase its not true. i do care. its just my subconscienous working it out

I''ve had several "not my dream ring" ring dreams!! They make me feel so guilty because in my dream i know i should be happy but i just can''t get past the hideous ring!!!

the most recent "not my dream ring" dream involved a yellow diamond set in black plastic. the diamond was GORGEOUS and really big, but the setting was... well, it was plastic. lol. so glad that''s not real.

When I first started looking at rings I fell in love with the Tiffany Novo. I would tell my SO all the time about how much I loved the "tiffany" ring. Well one night I had a dream that he proposed to me with a "tiffany" ring, but it was a pearl ring not a diamond ring. I was so upset the he thought I wanted "tiffany''s" more than a diamond... I woke up and told him first thing - For my engagement ring I really would love a diamond not a pearl! He looked at me strangely until I explained my ''nightmare''.

Those are funny stories. I have had dreams of being at my wedding and it not being what I wanted. I remember thinking, how did this get planned??? Than I wake up and realize it was never planned because it was just a dream.

LOL! When I first started (obsessively) looking at rings I dreamt of the all the time. I would wake up thinking "is that what I want!?! cuz I''m too hooked on this?

Then a couple of nights ago I dreamt that he proposed (it was much more twisted... arranged marriages and such) and it was a plastic Winnie the pooh Halloween ring with a diamond on top. The diamond was HUGE! But it was on a plastic Winnie the Pooh Halloween ring.

I think we make ourselves crazy!

Funny, I have had a couple of dreams like this as well. I cannot recall what the ring looked like, but I remember being horrified. I have never told anyone else about these dreams for fear of being judged. I am so glad I am not alone, PS is the best!

LOL I know all about those dreams....

One time I had a dream that my FI got me a ring with a square hollowed out piece of plastic that was supposed to look like a princess cut. From the top, it looked like it was cut into 4 sections (like they sometimes do with huuuuge diamonds). Each of the sections had a different colored LED light that changed colors while I wore it in the dream lol. It looked like something a 4 year old would wear and I hated it lol. I woke up and realized it was a dream and laughed so hard and told my FI about it (at the time he was my FF) so I told him don''t get me a ring w/ LED lights lol.

I was thinking about this thread today because I had a ring dream last night.

I had a dream that my SO took me ring shopping to this really rundown jewelry store filled with really sleezy sales men. They kept trying to sell me rings missing diamonds and I touched one ring and it fell apart. my SO kept trying to get me to pick one but I kept getting worried I would lose the stone because they were poorly made. The sales men would bring me rings and they were missing stones or the gold was rubbing off. I hope there are no real stores like that. sheesh

haha thats funny. i think i had one of those, but cant remember details now. when i woke up i was happy that i didnt have to wear a ridiculous ring, but sad that i wasnt engaged.

Okay... now the dreams are just making me crazy! I had another last night. this time the ring was perfect, but AGAIN I was being forced into an arranged marriage with someone else. In these dreams I always get out of the arranged marriage and get to be with my SO, but it''s strange that I keep having them!

I had a dream JUST LIKE THIS last night!

I love Trillions, and SO got me a trillion ring, but it had one Trillion diamond, and one trillion peridot, and they were side by side, with a line of rectagular side diamonds extending from either side, one side peridot, and the other side diamond, but one side was higher than the other. And it was all kind of on an angle... It was the most awful and ridiculous thing I had ever seen, and my dad loved it, and I had no idea what to say to SO except ''yes'', and I kept wondering... is this a joke? Is he testing me to see if I will say something? I was so confused! And I didn''t end up saying anything.
