My Ring Finally Arrived...Again!

Some of you may remember my unfortunate first attempt to have my emerald cut ring custom made. The jeweler agreed to remake it so that the center stone is set lower and the whole look is less chunky and severe. There were also some sloppy symmetry issues that needed to be dealt with. Well, it''s finally done and I''m ready to post pictures. It''s SO much better and I absolutely LOVE the diamonds. I probably wouldn''t have chosen this design if I had it to do all over again, but I''m happy that it was finally done right and that the diamonds are as exquisite as they are. And I''m thrilled that it''s all OVER!! No more headache or heartache. I''m so pleased! This ring sparkles and flashes like nothing else. I don''t know how people can ever say that emerald cuts are dull. Here are a bunch of pics. Thanks!

Given how much I like this shape, getting one pegged with tape on the finger would be acceptable ! But maybe not that first version of the ring... They really improved it 300%.

Brining the center stone down made a huge difference. It looks perfect! I can't imagine why you would not select this design again. Is it because of the difficulty getting it just right? If you get the chance, a hand shot would be nice.

I have turned into such an emerald fan as well...square for me. I have to agree 100% with you about the light return with emeralds. If you get a nicely cut one, the bars and flashes of light and color are simply amazing. Your ring has such a beautiful antique look about it. It will surely stand the test of time. Hi Demelza, I liked your ring before a lot too, but the best change in my opinion is the more feminine, rounded band. Very nice, and I love a well cut emerald that flashes bars of fire.
