A couple months back I bought an old cut diamond, and decided to make it the center stone of my new three stone ring. Side stones were some earrings I had been given for my wedding. I know they are not the finest, but they are sentimental and it would have blown my budget to buy new ones. I wanted something similar to my existing e-ring, but bigger and in rose gold.

Soooo, I contacted Lesley at Brian Gavin Diamonds and they made a beautiful Truth three stone in rose gold. My ring should be arriving this morning by Fed Ex! I am excited but these photos make me more nervous than anything.

I don't have any info on the sidestones, unfortunately. I estimate that they are about .40, near colorless, SI. eye clean but I could see inclusions with my loupe and there are some visible in the photos. They look very pretty in person.

The photos make the center diamond (1.02 old cut) look warmer than it is in person. When I bought it unmounted, it was estimated by my jeweler to be an F, VS1. I saw it in the scope and next to his master stones and it looked legit. No certification on any of the stones.

I am nervous posting these here, because all of you have such beautiful rings! I am just happy that I get to play and that I can have a BGD setting for my pretties! I can't wait to post hand shots.

I LOVE it! I've never seen an old cut set with RBs, and I am liking the look! Gorgeous stone you have there!

Thanks so much for all your kind words! It means alot coming from all of you. I have drooled at many a ring here, and am thrilled to have my own piece of heaven from BGD. I just hope I love the ring as much in person as in my head, you know? From what everyone says about Brian's work, I am sure that it will be beautiful! His craftsmanship is exquisite and these glam shots are making me sweat!! LOL

I have to go to the Fed Ex depot tonight after work (Ah, more waiting!!) to pick it up because no one was home for delivery. But I should have it tonight. I am so nervous!! I hope the RG looks good on my skin. I have looked at the rose gold hand shots here on PS, and LOVE it.

Well, I won't be able to post handshots for a few more days I picked up the ring and it is far more beautiful than I could have imagined! I absolutely love it! The shank is much thinner than I thought it would be from the online photos. I love how dainty the whole setting looks! It makes the diamonds look huge and in person itlooks better than the glam shots!

But I noticed that one of the sidestones was loose upon arrival so it is on its way back to BGD for repair. I called and spoke with Lesley, who was an absolute doll and emailed me return labels right away. When I called to confirm that the package had been sent, she said that Brian wanted to talk to me. He was very apologetic about the inconvenience and explained to me how it could happen (he said it was possible for a small amount of the substance they use for setting to remain under the prong, then not all get removed at the right time and then during cleaning it falls away, leaving the prong a bit loose. Sorry if I don't explain it very clearly. Anyhow, he promised to get it fixed and back to me right away. Lesley said it should ship Monday. Both lesley and Brian asked if I was happy with the ring itself, and I absolutely am. It is so exquisitely made and looks amazing on my finger! Plus, even though I had a little hiccup with the loose prong, I am more than pleased with the service at Brian Gavin Diamonds. They are good people. I have to admit to being a bit starstruck while talking with him. Lol.

Well that's a shame - so close and yet so far. But, better to get it fixed up right away, than risk something happening. They are amazing people, and glad it will work out in the end! We shall try to be patient like you are being
