My Save the Dates have Arrived!

My Save the Dates have finally arrived! (They came in while I was out of town.) I think they turned out pretty good. Am happy with the work Kristy Rice (thanks SarahlovesJS!) did on them and looking forward to starting the process for the invites. Here's a photo; the envelope is in Shimmery Caspian Blue, the same shade as the border.

ETA: Ugh, the photo is small, making it difficult to see the crispness of the drawings. Kristy also hand painted a light shade of green into the water in the Toronto scene and on the palm tree.

Here are some of the fonts I'm considering for the envelopes. I think I'm leaning towards the Mexican ones for the STDs and will possibly use the Chocolate or Lauren for the invites. What do you think? I did a few samples on envelopes and the printing is a lot sharper than what shows on the computer.

Oooh your STDs are adorable! Would love to see a larger picture if possible.

And personally I like the chocolate and lauren fonts the best. I''m not really fond of the other two, but I guess it depends on the look/theme you''re going for. But I think that those two would match the feel of the STD the best.

Thanks for your comments on the fonts. FI actually just told me he prefers the Lauren. Maybe we'll go with that.

I came across a time-line STD in a bridal magazine earlier this year and loved the idea. There''s so many different ways you can personalize it.

SarahlovesJS recommended Kristy Rice to me after I almost gave up finding someone to design it.

Thanks dcgator! I wanted something fun and whimsical without getting too girly/feminine (to take into account FI''s preferences). I think Kristy did a fine balance of the two.

Good suggestion on the fonts. The Lauren looks more formal. I was having such a hard time narrowing the choices! Who knew fonts could be fun?

(Ok, now I''m showing my inner dork.)
