My "something old" ring project! Tons of pics!!!

So my mother gave me my great grandmother''s ring which looked like this: here''s a top view

Anyway, the setting was not something I''d really wear and I know my mother is very sentimential about the setting, so I created two rings! I reset the diamond and had the jeweler fix up my mother''s ring and put her birthstone in it. Here''s a pic of her ring.

Now here come the pics of my new ring (which I''ll be wearing down the aisle and before the wedding since my ering and wedding ring will be soddered together). It''s .42 carat, old miner''s cut, VVS-2, G/H color. A ridiculously sparkly and gorgeous diamond. Here''s a side shot...it''s in a tulip head setting.
