Hi all,
So I proposed to my girlfriend on Wednesday and she said YES!
I thought I'd share the ring here. It took a lot of planning but it came out amazing! It was custom made with CAD.
The main stone is a H&A, F/IF 1.23ct GIA XXX stone, faint fluro. Here's the cert: https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=1206866540&s=1599285268137
The angles work nicely with each other and the stone scores a 1.9 on the HCA. I can confirm that it looks even better in person, but I'd love your opinions!
The melee are each 2 points (0.02 ct), with 9 on each side, making it 0.36cts. They perfectly match the centre stone and are F/IF, AGS000, H&A with no fluro. These were a mission to find but I wanted the best and for it to match the centre stone.
As for the metal, I finally decided on plat90/irid10 as according to my research it came out on top. The colour is great. TCW of the ring is 1.59 and weights 5.63g.

It looks very classic and elegant, but my jeweller assures me that the 6 prongs are well secured and soldered on to the main ring very well.
I also had two wedding bands done at the same time, on advice from the jeweller (so they all sit flush): One eternity band full of the F/IF melee mentioned above (37 stones for 0.74TCW) and a plain band as required by the our religion for the marriage ceremony. Both are using the plat90/irid10 mix. The eternity band weights 3.79g and the plain band weights 5.14g.
All 3 bands are 2.1mm wide and 2mm thick, size 9 (US).
All three bands can be seen in the videos here: https://streamable.com/lpe563 and https://streamable.com/aewdjs
Any feedback/questions/thoughts/opinions are valued and I'm happy to receive.
Best regards and stay safe
