I picked up the tsavorite at the Tucson Gem Show last week. It is cushion 1.07. The mounting is 1/4 ctw.

Wow that is positively scrumptious! Confess I know little about these garnets but your ring looks very beautiful.

Thanks HotPozzum. Pricescope introduces us to all sorts of wonderful new gemstones. :appl: And I want one of each.

Pretty stone and a beautiful ring!

Thank you Crasru. I love the cats in your avatar.

I love it, Marcy! You done good picking that one out.

Love the color on the tsavorite and I love the setting you chose for it.

Beautiful Marcy!

I LOVE the stone and the setting really shows it to advantage !!!! :cheeky:  :cheeky:
Tsavorite is one of my ultimate favorite green stones, so sparkly and gorgeous!
Congratulations!!!!!

Just lovely!

Excellent choice of tsavorite all round; good colour, pleasing shape and well cut. Is the center basket yellow gold or white? I can tell the ring has a 2 toned metal but cannot quite make out the metal colour of the center basket.

HI:

What a great collection you have Marcy!

cheers--Sharon

Very nice!

 Beautiful Ring!!

how you photographed the green of a stone so well I dont kow , but that is gorgeous. Lively and cheerful. Wonderful for setting the tone for springtime! Congratulations! :appl:

Nice stone! And let me add my congrats on the photography, nice job!

Marcy, I love your stone and ring. I've got a tsav, and I hope to set mine just like yours. Who knows, maybe I will get to set it in 2011!!

I agree with everyone else - great stone/ring and a GREAT job of photographing that green stone!!!!!! (not easy I know)

Here are a few more pictures. We finally had some sunlight.

Thanks, Selkie. My husband was a big help. He uses a loop, checks the facets and studies the gems very carefully. All my blathering about gemstones has sunk in.

Thank you, Ltlfirecracker. The color was exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you herekittykitty.

Ooo-Shiney! (I love your name), we couldn’t believe how the setting really set off the stone. There was no contest picking out a setting.

Thank you Tourmaline Lover.

Chrono, the baskets for the stones is white gold. I appreciate the kind words about the stone. I told Marty it was a good thing he was with me because I get so excited I forget to look at some of the fine details. I just knew when I saw it this one was a keeper.

Sharon, thank you.

Pandora, I have always loved your ring so I am glad to join the tsavorite crowd.

Thank you Arcadian.

VapidLapid, I was rather surprised the color came out true to life in my point and shot camera. It was more luck than skill. It is a great color for springtime. Thank you.

Thank you Largosmom.

Pink Tower, I can’t wait to see your tsavorite ring - hopefully sooner than later. Thank you.

Colorluvr, thank you. I appreciate it.

Beautiful tsav! I like the setting you picked too. I wish I set my stones as fast as you! :))

Thank you Burberrygirl. I think the reason I get my gems set so fast is because I am not what you would call a patient person. I work on it though, really.

Beautiful green stone and a lovely ring. I love that shade of green. Well done! :appl:

Thank you, Fly Girl.

It's lovely, Marcy. How did you capture the green?

Btw, I reached the Convention Centre at 10:30 am too!

Harriet, we probably were walking in the door at the same time. Rats. If only we'd known. ;( No skill involved on capturing the green, my photos are all just as my camera captured the image; I just cropped them down in size. Green must be a good color for my camera.

Marcy, that's a lovely tsavorite, and the classic setting suits it beautifully! :appl:
