My Upgrade

Solitaire is .81 F VS1. Anniversary band is .46 ctw with 15 diamonds.

The .84 G I ordered in was sold before all the paperwork was done on Saturday so they had this one brought in instead. I was kind of upset at first they didn't bother to ask me but I am very happy with this diamond.

I planned on putting the new diamond in my existing wedding set but the diamond just blended in with the other diamonds. So as Dreamer D suggested I tried a solitaire. My old anniversary ring had .43 ctw but had fewer stones so this band is thinner. Funny thing I only ended up with .01 more ctw than I had before but it is quite a different look.

Oh WOW, YAY! Your new set is stunning. I love the setting you chose for you diamond. There is something about the rounded shoulders that hug your stone that I find very appealing and really showcases your stone. The band is a perfect compliment also. Please post more pictures.

Congrats on your upgrade Marcy! I love the solitaire setting you choose. I don't know what it's called, but I love how the diamond is kind of cushioned in the setting. Really, really lovely! Wear it in good health!

Farleysmom, they could not have squeezed in one more point of diamond in that setting. The cutlet might have a hair width open below it.

MissGotRocks, I got the new anniversary band for 2 reasons - this one is thinner than my other one and the other one was put together with the old ering. I tried a 3/4 ctw band too but it was too much with the solitaire.

Yennyfire, I asked for a low profile mounting because I am rather on the klutzy side. This setting looks like it protects the diamond really well.

Geckodani, I think the solitaire was a good call. Dreamer D suggested it in my other thread when I was looking at diamonds.
