I thought it’s time I share this beauty. I’ve been dreaming of an antique cushion or an OMC for some time. I looked around various online vendors but I kept second guessing myself. I even downloaded Instagram for the sole purpose of stalking Alex Park. lol anyway, I was never fast enough. By the time I see one I really liked it was already sold!
So I decided enough was enough and contacted Distinctive Gem.

Quick stats: 2.54ct, G VVS2
Ok, on to the pictures..

Beautiful!! I adore his cuts!

Lucky you! That's beautiful!!

Perfection, thank you for sharing this amazing ring! It’s a stunning August Vintage Cushion! I love the incredibly beautiful large facets that I’d be completely distracted by. And that G color! Enjoy your ring in good health.

Wow! That's very nice!

Gorgeous ring - and hands!

Wow! That is stunning, congratulations! Did you have this custom cut? Can we have dimensions?

Glorious ring! :kiss2: Congrats and wear her in good health!

Gorgeous! I love the setting with the double corner prongs and the size of the diamond IMHO is perfect for daily wear. The added bonus is that the crystal quality and cut are great because its from Jonathan.

@Minx7891 That's just gorgeous!! One of Jonathan's antique cushions or a transitional are on my long term bucket list. I think your ring has tipped the scales in favor of an antique cushion! :-) It looks just lovely on you--enjoy!

Beautiful!!! He really has just gorgeous antique cushions. I LOVE your glass nails!!!

Thank you all for the kind words!!

@Slickk thank you! I’m so glad I decided to go with avc. I’ve been ogling at all the gorgeous avc & avr rings here for so long. :D

@Scon_ce thank you. I feel very lucky indeed!

@LightBright thank you so much. And you’re so right! This ring has been keeping me so distracted! The bold flashes of pastel colors are so polarizing. The first day I wore it I kept loosing my train of thought while talking to hubby. lol :lol-2:Those facets are insanely beautiful. This is the first vintage cut for me and I think I might be converted!

@SiRf3R thank you so much!

@Ibrakeforpossums thank you for the compliment.

@RMOO thank you. I selected it from Jonathan’s private reserve. I was going back and forth between this stone (2.54G VVS2) and another stone (2.29E VVS1). I went with this one after Sarah from DG sent me a video comparing the two at various lighting conditions. The difference in color was so negligible face on. But the size difference was visually significant. Both were fireballs! The first time I took it out of the ring box I was floored! It looked much bigger than 2.54! Its dimensions are H8.48 x W7.67 x D5.15 mm. I took a screenshot of the proportions. IMG_4826.jpeg

@finerthings thank you so much.

@Lisa Loves Shiny thank you. I simply adore this setting for cushion cuts. It’s set very low too. The diamond just hover on top of my finger. I went with Jonathan’s master bench and I’m very happy I did. Everything about it is perfect with goldilocks proportions!

@BoulderGal thank you. I was also looking at some of the other rectangular and elongated cuts. They’re all so beautiful. This is my first vintage cut so I’m not used to seeing such beautiful bold flashes of colors. The diamond is like a chameleon. It picks up colors from everything around it. It’s almost feels sentient (as the risk of sounding completely insane :lol-2:). I’d say go for it!

@Inked thank you. This ring makes me want to go get manicures. lol

So pretty! Perfect proportions for your finger

Gorgeous ring on a lovely hand! .

Distinctive gem stone DEFINITELY on my bucket list!!
