The backstory:

I lost my engagement ring almost a year ago, and so figuring we would be celebrating our 15th anniversary and a milestone birthday for me, we would replace it. I spent months educating myself via Pricescope and searching, and found the diamond I was looking for at Old World Diamonds.

Diamond specs:
GIA certified
Old Mine Brilliant
6.28 x 6.11 x 3.81
1.06 carat
H
VS2
Strong blue fluorescence

I saw Victor's name come up several times, all with glowing reviews of his work, his easy-going personality, and his accessibility. Based on the pictures of his work, and those reviews, I didn't consider anyone else.

The original inspiration for the ring was the Harry Winston, but I don't like a lot of metal showing. I figured if I was going to go with Victor Canera, I may as well go all out. I was enamoured with the shank on his Gabrielle ring and asked if that could be done along with a two sided pave halo (but rounded, and not at a right angle). He knew immediately the look I was going for, and I left the rest up to him. The ring is beyond anything I could have imagined, and Victor was a dream to work with. He kept me updated on the progress, and responded immediately to any questions I had, mostly within minutes of my email.

Here is a glamour shot that Victor sent me:

and the video that Victor shot:

and finally a close-up of the pave work:

The ring is more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined, and I am thrilled with it. I am having trouble uploading my own photos, but I hope to post them soon.

Friggin Amazing! Will you wear a matching band with it?

amazing ring! it is just gorgeous!!

Really beautiful! One of my favorites! Congrats on your engagement :appl:

Your ring is stunning~ And looks gorgeous on your hand! I loooove the rounded pave on the band! I was going to go with the 3 sided pave band for my ering, but I chickened out! What is the thickness of your band if you don't mind me asking. Wear it in good health!

The picture with the logo was removed, so here is a logo-free picture:

Thank you everyone. To answer a few questions, I received it Friday. I believe the shank is 2.1 mm; it had to be made a little wider to accomodate the multi-rows. I have fairly wide fingers, so even with the increased size it looks very dainty and delicate. The ring is a size 8.

I won't be wearing a band with it; I don't want to damage any of the pave on the shank. I love how you can see diamonds at every angle, and I think a band would detract from that. I still have my wedding band, and am wearing it on my right hand.

Beautiful piece!

I am considering a ring from Victor Canera and hoped you could answer a few questions for me.

1. Do you wear a wedding band next to the ring? Does the donut get in the way? Would you have any photos of this?
2. What type of pave did you get?

Thanks!

Hi,

I don't wear a band with the ring. I always intended to wear it alone, which is one of the reasons why I chose the 3-sided pave.

I believe the pave is a U-cut and 4 bead mixture, but Victor would know for sure.

I am shopping for an ering for my soon to be fiancee and I love your ring. Do you have any idea what size the stones are on the halo and the shank? Thanks for posting!
