Whoa, it looks like a 4 ct ring on your hand! Congrats, it's gorgeous!

Thank you for all your nice comments. I am very happy with my ring. The diamond does look much larger than in my previous setting and I really like the cushion shape on my finger.

I am currently making an eternity band with the diamonds from my other setting.

Wow - that's a huge difference from before to after! I'm not always a halo fan but this one looks very elegant on you!

Just stunning!! Victor is just amazing!!!

Hi donnabrsd - your ring is gorgeous and one of my very favorites!! Do you know what color stones were used in your setting and what size they are? Do you notice any difference between the color of your center diamond against the small diamonds? My stone is a 2.4ct H, and my main concern is whether the halo will make my center stone look too tinted.

I would also love to see any additional pics you've taken since you first posted your ring if you have any!!

Love your setting. It's the same setting that I just got a quote on from Victor :naughty:

LLCALI I would just email Victor and ask him for a quote and whether or not he can match the setting stones to the center stone color.

LLCALI - Thank you for the compliment. The diamonds on the setting are G color. They are .01ct each. The ones on the donut are smaller. Total is .76ct. No color difference from center stone to stones on setting. Since you are interested in the same/similar setting, I will share with you that the halo changed the appearance of my diamond. It does not really look like a RB and the arrows are now mostly hidden. It looks like a different cut, sometimes like a cushion. My jeweler where I purchased the diamond thought the same thing and had me take it off so he could examine it a few times. Since I was debating on a cushion (hence the cushion halo) I am okay with it. I will try to take more photos and post soon.

Sparkle524 - I am not on this site often, but will be checking to see if you go forward with the setting.

Thought I would breath a little life back into this thread from 2012, since it was helpful in my recent decision. Victor made a beautiful "Donna" Split Shank Halo in 2014, for my wife's and my 15 year wedding anniversary. We/she love(s) the ring! Attached is quick iPhone picture from the day I gave her the ring. Stone is 2.5 G VS2 Triple Excellent - size 6.25. Thanks again Victor and thanks Donna, for your original partnership with Victor.

To help round out the story and give others some perspective, as they consider working with Victor, here is my experience. In my wife's original setting, she had an engagement ring and wedding band. She wanted to move to a single ring and to accomplish a larger yet sophisticated look, so she wanted a split shank and a halo. I did a ton of research on what her/my/our options could be and based on the quality of Victor's work in both visible pictures (PriceScope, YouTube, FaceBook) and written testimonials on PriceScope, I became very interested in working with Victor. I also did some local research and when I travelled for business out of state, I looked at some other stores and designers, as well as searched other options online. From everything I saw both in-person and online, I really felt like Victor was truly an artist in his work and felt very good about all the positive feedback from his other clients. In corresponding with Victor mostly over email, he answered all of my questions in a very professional and responsive way and made me feel confident that a purchase from the east coast, while Victor was on the west coast, could work well. I felt the pricing was fair for the high quality. I saw less expensive and similar priced options but felt that the quality from Victor was always better. Victor's attention to detail and artistic approach are very unique in what the industry offers. In summary, the whole experience was very positive.
