My wedding rings finally arrived!
They're made by Yvonne of Cecile Raley Designs (yvonneraley) on Etsy.
Pink tourmalines for mine, and blue sapphires for my hubby's
Sorry for the bad pics (camera phone, the only one I have lol) and the wilting magnolia (again, the only available flower now lol)
I'm hoping to take more pics when (and if) the sun comes up tomorrow!
And for the life in me, I can't seem to capture the bright pink and blue colour of the stones!
Now all that's left is my e-ring from DanielM!
Can't wait

Question though, I know the pink tourmalines are small (about 2mm) but do you think they will last as wedding rings? Should I take it off while doing housework etc to protect it?

Thanks in advance!

Oh, forgot to add...
I do think the vendor pictures capture the colour more accurately than my pics!

Lovely set. I think your wedding band will hold out better than expected because:
1. The stones are gypsy set into the band, protecting much of the stone.
2. The stones are fairly small
3. The stones are set well towards the front of the band
4. The stones are well recessed compared to the rest of the band.

tefutefu, be sure to come back and post shots of your danielm ring. In case you couldn't tell, we love Dan and Caren on this forum.

Chrono: I'm glad to that they wouldn't be as vulnerable as I thought they would be! I'd definitely hate to take it off during housework lol

I definitely will be posting pics of my e-ring from DanielM once it's done!
After all, I found my sapphire and DanielM with the help of all you wonderful PSers :praise:
It's the least I could do to show my appreciation! :D

I just read that you ARE planning to wear it to do housework. In that case, I highly advise you to remove it for that hour or so. Even diamonds can get chipped by hitting against the door if nailed just right, what more a tourmaline.

Ah Chrono, I didn't realize that it wouldn't hold up to household chores :((
I'll be sure to take it off when washing the dishes etc!
Thanks for the heads up :D

What wonderful designs on the wedding bands! I love the texture. Definitely take all your rings off to do housework, and tell your husband the same thing!

Looking forward to seeing your e-ring.

Nice rings! I especially like the men's band, nice and chunky and a nice way to incorporate the gem stones. It looks like the ring will be to take a beating and still protect the stones. Congrats!

Beautiful!

Really great! Love the texture. Can't to see the engagement ring!

I love the textures too
Hubby practically left me to choose the designs, which is sometimes the hard part since he will "nag" in the future if he doesn't like it all that much :nono: He thinks it looks cool on his fingers which is a good thing though
I can't wait to see my e-ring either, but it's still going to take some time for it to finish, plus I'll have to wait for the shipping to Japan as well ;(

It's done!!! It's done!!! :appl:
OMG I love it to death!!!
Caren captured the colour of my sapphire a whole lot better than I could ever do with my camera phone lol
Thank you so much all you PSers, and especially FrekeChild, for finding the inspiration for this setting :)
I was really bumped about what I kind of setting I wanted for my e-ring, but when I saw your stormy spinel ring, it was love at first sight!
And a big thank you to all of you who helped me find the sapphire!!!
I love it to pieces

CONGRATS! I love the hidden pinks that match the wedding band. Really unique! :appl:

The pink peeking out under the blue malkes the colour of BOTH stones pop! What is the surprise pink stone?

Thank you everyone

@Chrono
The pink stones are again, pink tourmalines lol
I actually had it make like that to match my wedding bands, since he's wearing my birthstone (sapphires) and I'm wearing his (pink tourmalines). My friend actually mentioned that it looked like candies due to the colour scheme but I think they're rather cute

I requested for Dan and Caren to make the prongs thinner and sharper, and they were very nice about it! It's been shipped out, and if things go well, it will hopefully reach around 2 weeks later. I'll post pictures of all 3 rings together then :D

Beautiful, and so original! I love the pink/blue idea.

It's finally here!
Got held up at customs but it was so worth the wait!!!
I literally became teary eyed when I saw it
