Wedding Window!!

What a pretty website design! Does wedding window charge you a fee for hosting your site?
I voted for Denver in your poll, because I have a strange fascination with Denver and for whatever reason I would love to live there (Even though I''ve only been there once, when I was like 11).
I was torn between that and Ithaca, because Ithaca is close by here, my good friend and FI''s best friend both went to Cornell.. and after all Ithaca is GORGES.. hehehehehehehe.. had to do it..

That website looks professional! Good job...can''t wait for more stuff...

Great Website!!
I voted Chicago cuz that''s where I live!!

Yes, wedding window does charge. A lot, IMO. I am doing it for 2 years and it''s $120? I mean, I LOVE the way it looks and I don''t think I could get mine to look that great on my own (trust me, I''ve tried), so it''s worth it to me. And actually, if you space it out, it only comes out to like $5 a month or so?

My Vote is for DC.. I wish I could get married in DC.... If I thought people would make it and if I could afford it.. that is definetly where I would go! Good LUck and Congratulations

Beautiful website! You make such a cute couple!

I love wedding window... I wish I could stomach the price!

So I''m trying to integrate some of the design elements I like into my own site, but it is DEFINITELY not as nice! Sigh. but what a beautiful site you have!!! I love that pic of you two!

I voted Aspen - I don''t know, it seems like such a meaningful and unique place!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments! This is the first thing I''ve actually been able to make a decision about for the wedding, but I have 18 mos or so, so???

MS -- Don''t think I don''t throw that "Ithaca is Gorges" stuff in WHENEVER I can. The funny thing is, when my FI and I got there for his orientation, we were like: we HAVE to see these supposed gorges. Well, we went there and they were AWFUL!! I don''t know if the rainfall hadn''t been great or what but they were dry! We said to ourselves: People make bumperstickers out of THAT? So, I left Ithaca puzzled. But, last time I was there, I really loved Lake Cayuga and we went to a wine tasting at a winery -- Wagner Vineyards -- and it was really pretty -- so I guess I can see it???? But, coming from CO, it just pales in comparison....

A lot of people love Denver. I''m just not one of them.... I can''t really figure it out either. I think it''s just a little too down to earth for me -- not enough excitement, or rather, more laid back excitement and I''m a pretty strong type A personality, so I get a little antsy here.....

MINE!! -- Thanks for signing my guestbook! That was so fun! I wish I could afford a DC wedding too! Hahaha. It''s really VERY expensive and sort of horrifying. Who ever thought I would have a $25K budget for a wedding and be afraid that I couldn''t stay within it?!?!? I am having a difficult time finding a place to have a reception that comes out to less than $150pp!!! Ack!!! The thought of spending so much money on ONE DAY just makes me sick. Especially since it''s more than half my yearly salary!!! The things I could do with $25K..... Sigh....

Flopkins -- I would have MUCH rather preferred to do it myself if only so that I knew it was an original! I tried and just couldn''t pull it together -- I had no idea what I was doing and actually not a lot of spare time to figure it out since I''m moving and looking for a new job! Aspen is a really special place to Ben and I. My aunt and uncle have a place up there and we spend a lot of time up there during the winter and for the 4th of July. It''s a neat town (although, WAY too expensive -- we call it the "Aspen Premium"

) and really beautiful. AND, it''s where my FI first told me loved me. I had hoped he would propose there, but for a recap of my proposal -- see Vuitton Girl''s!!

elephant- I SO feel you on this!!! we started w/a budget of 15k, and, um, I''m very sad/embarassed/horrified to say that it has almost DOUBLED!!!!!

In fact, the wedding will probably cost about what I make in a year - BEFORE TAXES!!! ARGH!!!!!! I''m over it, really.

Both of our parents are helping us out though... otherwise we''d never be able to do something this fancy shmancy - and really - we LOVE our wedding site - which was what really drove up the price!! Sigh... the insanity that causes women to purge money....

anyhow, back to the subject at hand - keep us updated on your wedding plans, I don''t think you can go wrong at any of those places! What time of year are you thinking? You might want to consider the weather too - I know DC gets pretty humid in summer. (but then, I''m a wimpy california girl, so my standards are pretty high...)

It looks great elephant!!! I love the theme you chose... once of my favorites! I did our website through wedding window too! It was like $75-80 for the year... so $120 for 2 years is a pretty good deal!

We had originally decided to completly make it ourselves (im a graphic designer and DH is a computer engineer)... i got as far as the main page and decided that *no way* I had time to mess with it since we only had 8 months. The one thing i love about Wedding Window, is that it allows you to go in and edit the HTML, so if you know a little, you can go in and tweek things to be the way you really want them. We got so many complements on the site!

I didnt formally vote, but i think Denver would be awesome! Ive never been there, but it seems like it would be fun. And having lived near DC all my life, i have to second Flopkins thought that summer in DC (esp July and August) *SUCKS*. Not to say you couldnt luck out and get a great weekend, but there are WAY too many 120 heat index days! Fall on the other hand... BEAUTIFUL! I guess it really depends on if you want stuff outside or inside...
