My Whiteflash Ering

Here is my ering received December 2003 (yes, it took me that long to post it, didn''t have a camera). BF, now finance, proposed Christmas eve 2003. Dear Finance set a very generous budget and told me to choose whatever I want. Went online to looked at hundreds, if not thousands of diamonds. Kept going back to this one. Email Whiteflash Christmas eve, not expecting to hear back anytime soon since it was the holidays, but Lesley replied Christmas day!, letting me know the diamond was one of their Expert Selection and was in stock and that she will be available for any questions Friday, Dec. 26. We were both very nervous about purchasing such a big ticket item online. Many of our friends thought we were nuts doing so. Well we are very pleased with the everything, the ring is beautiful and I still love it over a year later (however, with Mara recent upgrade, it is giving me some ideas!)

Hopefully I can get the pictures loaded. Should have had WF take some pictures, but I had just discovered Pricescope the day before the proposal.

I will try to get some side shots. It so hard! Everyone else''s hand pics are so clear and well done. The setting is Whiteflash''s simple 14kt white gold, 4 prong "tiffany" style ring. Since I''d spent all my budge amount (and then some) on the stone, I went the the most cost effective setting. Initially, I was planning to change after we get married, but I''m not sure now, I''ve grown to love the simplicity of the style. I may change it to platinum though.

WoW!! It looks huge! And white! And sparklie! You must be so thrilled!

Try to set your camera on the macro, or close-up setting (usually denoted by a little flower or tulip setting somewhere on the camera).

Lizzyd: thanks for the advice, however, I''d got this camera from my brother and it is an old one, and it is very limited in taking close ups. There is a zoom button, but that is it.

it looks HUGE on your finger!! if only I had size 5 or 4 fingers, diamonds would be so much cheaper, aka a 2c would look like a 4c would on my size 6.25 fingers!!!

luckyhonu has tiny hands and i remember discussing with her that something like a 1.5 or 1.6c would look monstrous on her tiny hand!

Mara, it is funny you say that. I''d remember seeing your first WF ES diamond and thinking how huge it looked on your long, slender fingers. (My fingers are short and stubby.) When I first got the ring, the diamond seemed huge, but now, the shrinkage set in...even more as I see your beautiful upgrade...I''ve been on Whiteflash site regularily since....just thinking...

I don''t think my Finance is as open to upgrading as Greg is...though I''m working on it! Maybe for our 5 years anniversary.

i think we all have a ''skewed'' idea of how our rings/stones/hands look ... to others they appear differently, it''s kind of like whether you like pictures of yourself or not, aka friends think you look fabulous in a pic, but you think your hair looks bad or your smile is too toothy, or some other random item....hee hee. same with the stones/rings/hands!
