I recently heard about a website called MissNowMrs (http://missnowmrs.com/Default.aspx) where you can generate all of your name-change paperwork in one place. Have any of you tried this or is anyone planning to do it? It claims to save you up to 13 hours of paperwork...and for $30, that seems like a good idea!

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I actually have purchased the program, but haven''t started using it yet. If you do it, please let me know how it works for you!

I bought one of those... waste of money for me. I went to SS office, paperwork was minimal, and FREE on the website. I went to the DMV, paperwork minimal and FREE on the website... and credit cards-car- student loans, just required a photocopy of my new driver''s license. Really... not a big deal... yes an aggrivation, but did not take a lot of time.

I also think it was a waste of $ personally. Didn''t help me that much and screwed up in a few places.

Thanks Neatfreak. Did you use this particular service or did you do a different one? Despite the screwup, did it save you time in the end, do you think?

Thanks!

Same one. I mean it probably saved me a few minutes because I filled in some of my info once instead of twice for the DL's and SS forms...but I STILL had to look everything over with a fine tooth comb-and the way you modify the letters for the CC/utility companies and save them is ridiculous so it takes longer than to just copy and paste in word.

So maybe a few minutes but honestly if you haven't bought it yet-don't.

I have a card for a free membership to MissNowMrs from DB. Its probably expired, like most of their "awesome coupons" that they gave me with the dress I purchased 10 months before my wedding. If it just screws stuff up, I suppose I''ll toss it with the rest of the "free" things they graced me with.

Don''t know if it''s dependent on the state or what, but my friend had a really hard time when she got married last summer, so when I heard about the site, I purchased it. I''ve used it and have all the paperwork saved and just waiting for when I''m actually married, have my marriage cert., and will file. So...I can''t comment on its accuracy or anything, but it was easy doing it all at once, on a computer instead of hand-writing on a form while waiting in line, and I did it MOOOOOOOOOOOONTHS in advance.

Maybe it was a waste of $$...but who knows?! :)
