Natalie diamonds sale...is it for real??

I am currently going through the process of buying my girlfriend an engagement ring and I came across an online store called Natalie Diamonds.
Currently they have a 45% off sale.

I am just looking for feedback if anyone has used them before and are they legit??
Is the sale for real or are the original prices marked up?


Also on a different note, is platinum or white gold better?

Don't waste your money on them, you should only be looking at GIA or AGS graded diamonds. Theirs are not those. If you post your budget and any specific wishes you have for the setting and/or stone(s) the more experienced Pricescopers will surely help you find something lovely and worth your money.

Try James Allen, Whiteflash, Good old Gold. Platinum vs White gold is personal and $$$ preference.

Also struggling to find many reviews of this company online but their prices are really cheap, does this mean they are too good to be true?

UGI is an Indian grading lab.

You get what you pay for.

If it seems too good to be true, then it usually is.

I bought an engagement ring from James Allen and was surprised to see on the diamond certificate that it was issued in Mumbai, India by IGI. I didn’t like the ring so I returned it and got a full refund.

I then ordered from Natalie Diamonds and noticed that their grading is done by UGI, a laboratory located in Israel. The diamond was beautiful and on sale. I got a great deal.

I suggest you go for it.

This above post seems fishy, as this person just made an account today to post this.

In general, on Pricescope we only recommend purchasing GIA or AGS certified stones. There's really no way to "compare" stones graded by other labs, because they can be so far off on color/clarity as to be totally useless. Start a new thread, tell us your budget what what you're interested in buying, and the helpful Pricescopers will go to work to find you what you want from a vendor you can trust.

If you sent the same diamond to GIA/AGS and UGI the color and clarity grades from UGI would be graded to be many grades better.

Let me put it this way ...
Would you buy a diamond from a lab that weighed a 0.5 carat diamond and reported it weighed 3 carats?

Of course not.
Same thing with color and clarity.
They affect value just like weight/size does, but color and clarity are just easier to lie about and get away with it.

Run away from diamonds graded by bogus labs like UGL AND the fraudulent vendors who'd sell them.
IMO, they should all rot in jail.

IOW don't get all excited about a half carat diamond claimed to be on sale for 40% off its 3-carat price.
Bargain? Hardly.
Scam? Yes.

Means they are over graded compared to GIA or AGS.

Yes it means it is too good to be true they use labs with much lower standards so that means a diamond graded by that lab that you purchase for what you think is a bargain G VS2 is actually really a badly cut J/K SI1 or I1 by GIA standards. This is how places like this make money from unsuspecting buyers thinking they are getting a deal when really they have no clue.
