Bought these lovely hook drop bezel diamonds (natural) from BGD back in 2020. Platinum settings.
0.631ct J VSI and 0.621ct J VVSI. Paid $4200 total. Only worn for a few hours and thinking of selling, but wondering how much lab diamond availability has affected used market. Would really appreciate any advice on ballpark appropriate pricing, before I list on LoupeTroop / PS used. IMG_4641.pngThank you.

The closest comps I could find were .63/.64 "I"s at $1520 and $1530. Drop a couple hundred
because they are Js would put them at about $1300. Add a couple hundred because yours
are better clarity putting them at $1500 a piece? Add a little for the settings. Then you need to
subtract off a percentage because they are "resell". This is pretty rough calculating. Just trying
to give you an idea. Natural diamond prices are down right now. :-(

Could you turn them into something else you would wear? Add a colored stone and make a 3 stone???
Or a lab stone and make a 3 stone? Might they be worth holding on to until natural prices are back up?

Probably around 2k. BG lists a 0.6 ct J VVS2 for 1k and a 0.68 ct J VS1 for 1.1k. I second the idea to keep them for a 3 stone.

Secondary market it about 40% of retail unless it’s a branded piece. These are branded but not Tiffany type of branded. So maybe 50% retail. I agree that there is more value in keeping them.

I missed those on BGD. Those are much better comps. (BGD selection tools/methods can be hard to use sometimes. I really
dont like them!)
