Hi Everyone! I’m almost down to making a purchase on this oval. Can you please confirm if the diamond is milky? It does have cloud listed as one of the inclusions. I’ve had opinions that it is and it’s not from the reps at JA. Would like to hear feedback before I do so! Thanks so much!

Who said it was milky?

I thought your original post said it's not from one of the reps at JA?

It does not look milky to me. It's a VVS2 so there is nothing in the clarity that would make it milky. You need to talk to them again and ask them why they* think it is milky? Did they use that term or some other term?

What do you think of the diamond?

I got opposing views on JA so I wanted to get some feedback from here. One says yes and one says no so it left me just confused!

And yes, the rep said specifically that it looks milky.

Thanks!

It doesn’t look milky to me. It’s a vvs2..I can’t imagine them saying it looks milky. It says it’s sold. Did you purchase it?

No, it’s on hold for me.

I’d like to hear your thoughts on this diamond. :) Thanks!

That’s what I thought too! I liked one that was from Blue Nile and was VVS2 as well but they confirmed that they have notes that the diamond is milky. They said it’s very rare but it happens.

Found a potential alternative that appears nice, bright, and lively...but I'll need others more versed in ovals to comment about it so that @maria121 can make a decision.

I'm not a fan of this stone bc it doesnt look very lively. So between that and potential milkiness I would move on

Thanks so much! I’m trying to look for a more elongated oval.

If they say its milky then just move on.
Its not very well cut anyway.

Yep, I was wondering if they were trying to say the light return is not that great (mushy, not milky).

Thanks for everyone’s help!

I’m going to move on and keep looking.

Found some others that have a more elongated cut, but will need the oval aficionados to take a peek and comment on them.

Not an aficionado but to my untrained eye the first one looks better. The second one is a little mushy on the tips. Both great finds!

Thanks for checking them out, @EClove!

What do you guys think of this one? I have it on hold.
