Hello all, I am looking for an oversized diamond and have shortlisted for 3 diamonds, I need all your expertise comments and advises. Which one is the best and should go for? I am so struggle now. All 3 diamonds are in similar prices. Your help and very much needed and appreciated.

Diamond 1 - HCA 5.x
Color G
VS2
3 Ex none
1.4 carat
7.08 table size
Table 59%
Depth 62.8%
Crown - 33.5%
Crown - 41.8%
GIA: 7416674594
- The arrow is not good, there is one black crystal at the table, its eye clean and other than that, I think the diamond is clean.
I have saw the diamond in person, it’s sparkle quite well from my non expert eye

Diamond 2 - HCA 1.X
Color E
VS2
3 Ex none
1.3 carat
6.88 table size
Table 57%
Depth 62.8%
Crown - 36%
Crown - 40.6%
GIA: 7451326156

This is better color, but looks smaller than the first one, can tell from eye. There is some needle or feather at the edge of the diamond, if this is something risky? Heard that it maybe cause the diamond more easily broken?

Diamond 3 - HCA 1.X
Color F
VS2
3 Ex none
1.32 carat
7.02 table size
Table 57%
Depth 61.8%
Crown - 35%
Crown - 40.8%
GIA: 1467572446

The table size is good and HCA rates it larger. But the con to me is that there are quite some and big clouds at the table. I haven’t seen the diamond in person, And looking at the 360 diamond viewer, there are quite some small white dots inside too. Will this affect the diamond sparkling? Even it is in VS2?

Thank you so much for all your help in advance.

Do you have images of the stones? Definitely don't go with the 5+ HCA option

Yes, I think so. Diamond 3 is in a larger table size, similar prices with Diamond 2, but will big clouds at the table and more dots inside. If the clouds and dots will affect a lot of sparkling? Besides I haven’t seen diamond 3 in person.

How about the cut? Diamond 2 or Diamond 3 better please?

Thank you

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, MYU45!

Diamond 3 if there are no transparency problems or visible inclusions to the unaided eyes would be my first choice.

Diamond 2 if there are issues present with diamond 3.

I would cross diamond 1 off my list, if it were me.

Can you put the stones on hold and provide the links so we can see the issues with the inclusions and get a better look
at the cuts?

Yes, I agree too! I am more prefer to diamond 3 indeed.

But how am I able to judge diamond 3 there is no transparency problem? I don’t have chance to see the real stone yet, I may request them to ship to my country first. How to check the inclusion and conclude it is good to purchase?

I have just posted the video link, if that’s good to tell?

No concerns about inclusions, but there may be some cut precision issues...are you looking for perfect or good enough?

So you mean both two diamonds are good to go? How about diamond 3 with quite a few clouds at the table? There are also quite a few dots inside? Will it affect TOO MUCH transparency or inclusion?

I do have so much budget so just good enough (eye clean, no big major issue)

I heard that people are saying clouds and feather will affect the diamond sparkling the most. Since there are clouds at diamond 3, if that will be a major concern please?

Clouds can be a major concern, but isolated clouding like diamond 3 has needs to be individually assessed in a variety of lighting conditions. Can the vendor provide you such videos?

These stones are "ok". Not great. Are you looking for precision cut? Or is size more important to you?

She says in post #12 she is looking for "good enough" which she defines as eye-clean and with no major issues.

Good idea! If I tell the vendor something like this, they know what should do? Its like taking the diamond video in normal situation like white light and yellow light?

Sorry, I am not really professional in this.

Direct lighting = sunlight and intense overhead lighting (such as jewelry store lighting or kitchen can lighting)

Indirect lighting = diffused office lighting or full shade

...you'll want to see the diamonds in both types of lighting

Thank you so much for all your feedback!

Finally I got one video under the normal lighting. What do you guys think?

Looks OK, but hard to tell definitively since there are very dark reflections... likely dark clothing being worn by the person recording the video.
