Newbie here stuck between a rock and a hard place. Been lurking around the boards here trying to gather as much info. as I could before I made my e-ring purchase. Did a lot of research and decided I currently could not afford to spend the amount of money on the type of ring my soon to be wife initially was interested in. A few days ago she stumbled upon a ring on a dept. store website that really grabbed her attention and one she was convinced she would be happy with. Problem is it was out of stock the next day that i went to purchase the ring online. I called the store and they are not sure they will be carrying this ring any longer. To make a long story short does anybody have any advice or can point me in the right durection to find this ring through another vendor or a jewelry store or sight where i could find a very similar ring. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Attached is the ring she has chosen:

i really like this ring....and i like that its not a traditional e-ring! however, i have no idea of how to help you obtain it.

Since it's a fairly intricate design, your best bet (in my non-expert opinion) would probably be to exhaust the leads you have now, which all revolve around the store that was carrying it. You mentioned that someone told you they are "not sure" if they will be carrying it in the future? Ask to speak to whomever *would* be sure. Explain that it is for an engagement and that this is THE ring. If they can't help you, keep going up the chain of command until you find out how to get the ring. If the store absolutely, positively says it can't sell you the ring, ask for contact information on the jeweler/supplier from where they obtained it.

Alternatively, you could always try to go custom, but due to the intricate detail, it's probably best to try to get the original if at all possible. Hope you find it! It's a beautiful ring.

That is a BEAUTIFUL ring! I hope you find it!

Some thinggs I would try first. So we can try to help you

1. What website was the ring on?
2. If it is a large Dept Store there may be many of the same store in a given area...ie Macy''s, Nordstom etc....call another store in another location or even a different state (or have the Dept. Store do it).
3. If the ring is in a large Department Store is there a chance that another Department Store may have the ring as well.
4. Does teh ring have a designers name?
5. Does the ring have a name?

I would like to help you but I need more info as does anyone who wants to help you :)

I don't know the maker of that exact ring, but Simon G, a designer, makes something similar. See the band ring in this picture with the flowers. You can get it in any combination of rose, yellow or white gold, or one solid gold color, and the workmanship is spectacular. You can also change the color of the diamond in the center of the flower to yellow or pink. It's in the $2000's range. Merry Richards jewelers in the Chicagoland area has a 30% off sale on Simon G. I'm not sure how long it will last though. You can check out their website and call them.

Just wanted to thank those who offered advice. I was able to locate and purchase the ring yesterday. We saw it online @ macys.com. After an online chat with a sales rep we were able to find out a upc code retrieved from a saved URL address and ordered through their New York store. I checked here locally(CA) but their online inventory only matches their east coast inventory. My soon to be wife is so happy we found the ring she wanted....as am I. Thanks again!

That''s great news! Congratulations!
