Has anyone in your family traveled to Tibet? When I googled "dragon locket coral inlay," the lockets that looked most like yours were identified as coming from Tibet. If that's enamel on the front, other parts of Asia are also a possibility. The same search also turned up some charms or pendants with a shape similar - but not identical - to your second locket. But - I was wracking my brain trying to recall where I'd seen a design like that incised around the edge of your second pendant before, and realized that it was on a pair of handmade earrings I'd bought on a beach in Mexico many years ago. (unfortunately I no longer have those earrings, or I'd post a pic!) But given the material and overall construction, I think Tibet or some other Asian country is closer to the mark.

Generally you cannot identify metals, or distinguish between genuine and fake/composite stone, with just a snapshot. A jeweler should be able to tell you pretty easily whether either locket is gold.
