Hey there,

I have to choose between two options:

1.37ct
VVS2
Color: I
Price: 21k (€)

1.38ct
VS1
Color: H
Price: 20.3k (€)

Why is the smaller 1.37ct ring more expensive, although it is smaller the color lower? Just because the clarity or also the dimensions and girdle thickness? See certificate attached.

I nevertheless tend to buy the 1.37ct because the ring crown is larger (it is wider and higher), maybe because of better dimensions. It looks better. Maybe that's why it is more expensive.

I know Tiffany is overpriced, but the diamonds are really more sparkly imo than what I have seen at any other jewelry, even Cartier. Also, I know how happy my girl would be, she is in love with Tiffany...

I just want to make sure that the 1.37ct is correctly priced vs. the 1.38ct ring.

Thanks!

The proportions of both are not bad. It sounds like you’re saying the 1.37 looks more sparkly to you. If that is the case, I would go with that one. Do you notice a color difference if you place the two next to each other? If you do, does that matter to you? If not, then safe to go with the 1.37. That’s what I would do. I am not concerned with the $700 euro price difference. Not significant and the 1.37 has a higher clarity.
