Hi,

I’m looking to have the diamond (1.10ct RB) from my engagement ring, re-set for our 10th anniversary, and I could really use some help with the design process.
I’ve searched through different websites and instagram for hours on end looking for inspiration, and I have not found anything yet. I want to have a ring made that doesn’t necessarily remind one of a traditional engagement ring, I’m looking for different styles, like a moi at toi, or a cluster ring where the larger diamond isn’t the “center” of attention, something with pavè is an option, a graduated five stone could also be an option…but probably not my top choice. I’d love for it to be sort of a statement piece in terms of coverage.

I’ve looked through CVB, Victor C, David Klass etc. can’t find anything that is the look I’m going for (albeit I don’t even know the look I’m going for).
So, I’d really appreciate any tips as to where to look, or design ideas, ring pictures. Any help or inspiration is welcome.

I think I would start with asking yourself how you want to add to it.

Do you want to add east to west finger coverage or do you want to create an elongated look up and down the finger? Maybe something diagonal. (It sounds like you want to avoid a uniform halo type addition).

That might narrow the search a little bit.

I usually start with shank.

about how wide?

split? Triwire? (Can’t be resized I think)

Also look at Era Gem and Single stone. They have nice things to look at.
