The first one is better...agree with @flyingpig .
It has a wide area of nice facets through the center. Although a lot of people call this a bow-tie, a bow-tie is a large area that
stays dark most of the time. This has nice facets that are reflecting light well. Now it will go dark in bright sunlight just like a
round brilliant goes dark in bright sunlight. The areas in blue dont look too mushy. I think this is a good choice for a higher ratio oval.
The second stone you posted doesnt have as nice facets through the center and the usual mushy areas in ovals look mushier than
the first stone IMO.
