Hi all, even though i''m STILL not officially engaged (ring has been delayed again!) FF and I have bumped up the wedding to this December due to the fact that the tiny private wedding we''re having doesn''t warrant a year and a half of planning (and we really just want to be married haha). So within the last two weeks i''ve booked the ceremony location, reception location, secured a photographer, and bought a dress! Whew! But now i''m kinda stuck on a couple things...

The shoes - my wedding is in December and there will (hopefully) be snow on the ground. I live in central Canada so it will be cold. We will have a few pictures outside as well as inside. What have others worn for cold/snowy wedding footwear? Here is my dress - you won''t be able to see my shoes much if at all. This is not me in the pics, someone had the exact same dress on ebay. It''s a Jessica McClintock, and the dress is called Faith. It''s ivory.

Aside - funny about the dress - I swore I would never wear a strapless dress until i tried one on that fit - no tugging for me! I won''t even have to wear a bra with this thing! It fits AWESOME!

also, what should I do for a bouquet? I was thinking ivory roses with small red tea roses scattered within. Any other suggestions? I''m not really having "colours" as my ceremony is in a floral conservatory and the reception will be done in mostly white with a few red and white pointsettas as centerpieces, and lots of candles. Any suggestions would be most helpful!!!

i think you should wear any shoe thats easy to walk and comfortable bc you''re probably be standing up all day .. besides hardly anyone pay attention to the shoe so who cares if the shoe is ugly as long as its comfortable ... and as for the bouquet that is a very beautiful color you can also do a google search on bouquet image or watch one of them Platinum wedding or expensive wedding in VH1 usually they have lots of cool ideas... that where i get mine ... good luck

Wow, beautiful dress!! I agree that you should probably wear whatever it''s comfortable and warm. Sounds like the planning is going well so far.

Thanks SoCute and Sha - i''m leaning towards the comfort route too but in the winter that means snow boots!

Any other snowbrides out there with shoe advice???

Cute ivory suede ankle boots with fluffy fake fur round the top!

Pretty dress!

I guess if I were you I''d go with closed-toed pumps or somesuch. I mean, you won''t really be tromping through unplowed, untramped snow, right? Wearing a ballgown is already going to be cold outside, so I don''t know that even snow boots would make a big difference!

On the other hand, something like these could be wintery and cute, too!

Thanks Pandora and Basil!! I like the idea of little ankle boots, especially with fur trip since my wrap will have fur as well. That little extra detail would be nice *just in case* someone sees them

Not much help here on your original questions, but JCrew has an ivory formal occasions clutch purse that would look great with that dress!
