Need opinions please .

While I love my setting I’m really missing having a solitaire , I think I want to go back to a solitaire in yellow gold maybe . What do you all think ? I would appreciate any feedback you could give me .

I feel you need to do what truly makes you happy. Sometimes we have to live with something for a good while before we are able to determine if a certain setting is good for us for the longterm.

If after "living" with your current setting and it is not doing it for you and you are really missing a solitaire look and feel then why not pursue it?!

I think we all go through phases. Sometimes we need the extra finger coverage that a halo brings, then sometimes we prefer the simplistic minimalist solitaire setting. If you're having doubts and a solitaire will make you happy then go for it!

Echoing the other two posters, I think if you want a solitaire you should go back to one! It is a very classic and timeless look for a reason I can’t see the details of your current setting very well (I’m guessing it is the one in your avatar?) but you could always set a colored stone in that setting and have it as an alternate/RHR. Zooming in it looks like a faux bezel and so you could change the stone out without damaging the setting!

I don’t want the teeny tiny claw prongs damaged, I don’t know if that’s possible or not .

I totally love it! As someone who just discovered why i don’t like solitaires on me, I can share my insight. I prefer my ring to look like a statement piece—which yours clearly does! It’s gorgeous! Your stone looks
Right at home in that setting. But as a serial resetter, I get the curiosity and excitement of Wanting a new look.

ooh, that's a hard call...I absolutely LOVE that halo...but if it doesnt' feel right to you... if you do decide to try a solitaire, maybe don't be in a rush to do anything with the halo setting. That way, if you find you miss it, you can easily put it back.

I do get lots of compliments on it and that’s really nice but my Doctor saw it and said in a very loud voice IS THAT REAL !! And almost seemed mad when I said yes , very strange and made me uncomfortable.

Hmmm. I'm gonna just say, there will always be opinions. Some helpful, some not. About any and everything you choose! You will be happier in the end with the choice you make for yourself, not the choice someone else makes for you. (Or "shames" you in to. ) My 2 cents.

I LOVE IT !!!

But its what you want that counts!

I just love gold coloured gold !
And i love a solitar where only the principle dancer is on the stage

If you want more finger coverage go for a wider band

Over time I’ve come to realize that I can get bored of certain pieces or styles. And after a nice long break I want to go back again. So you might be needing a break from your halo. Go for a solitaire and enjoy it as long as your heart loves it. Maybe consider a second ring. As many peeps said, put a colored stone in there and maybe you’ll want it back. I bet 2-3 years away will be time enough. Bottom line is, maybe another ring is required???
