For work, I will be attending a conference during the first week in May with 2 of my bosses. We will be wearing polo''s with the company logo & I believe they ordered a different color for each day (green, pink and blue). Anyway, we will be working our booth, answering questions and networking. We will be standing for quite a long time, so I am looking for something that will be comfortable, however professional at the same time. I am 5''8", so I really do not want anything with a heel over 1.5 inches. My budget is up to $120. I should mention that I work remotely and have not even seen 1 of my bosses in person and the other one is a fashionista. We are all in our early 30''s. Thanks!!

Color? Formality?

I''m going to say try either a wedge or a "comfort" brand like Naturalizer or Aerosoles.

Hi AG!

I am not sure of the color, probably black?! I plan to wear black pants, but I have not seen colors of the polos, so I am thinking of playing it safe, if that makes any sense. I have no idea as to how formal the conference is, but now that I think about it there is going to be so much going on. Since we are wearing polos, I am looking for shoes that would look good, but with a business casual feel (no sneakers). Does that make sense? I am so clueless..

Wedges are a good idea.

OK, so these are a TINY bit high and a TINY bit over budget, but they are SUPER cute and very basic - they''d go with a ton of stuff, and be classics

If you can get away with open toes, these are polished-looking IMO, and are likely to be comfy and supportive: Cole Haan Nikes

Cute and a great deal on Kate Spade too, just not sure how they would feel to be in them for 8 hrs. Although, not a bad pair to snatch up for other outfits...hehe.

No worries on the budget, I will go up to $200 for the right pair of shoes.

Very cute, but not sure about open toes for the conference. They are probably comfy though...

I''m obsessed with Soffts - they''re amazing, and I teach, so I need a shoe that I can be maneuvering around a classroom in. There''s lots of support and they''re darned cute.

I think these would look great with a polo:

A little dressier, small heel: http://www.sofftshoe.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=1090

A bit more heel, chunkier: http://www.sofftshoe.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=1173

Cute clog: http://www.sofftshoe.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=1038

Finally, I really like these - very versatile (could be dressed up or down): http://www.sofftshoe.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=1126

Ooh good call on the Sofft brand - those are really nicely padded and comfy

Oh and I totally think you should get the Kate Spades just ''cause - they are so cute, and that way you could try them out and see if they are comfy enough to wear to the conference

Well, I talked with my boss and she said she is wearing just a pair of black patent leather flats, nothing fancy. She highly suggests that I skip heels & find something comfy. She liked the pair of Sofft shoes with the buckle! So, if I go with the buckle pair, do I go with patent or plain?
