Need your ideas for "Welcome back home" for my FF!

Hey ladies,

I''m not sure if this would be the right place to ask this...my FF and I have been together a year. He went on a golf trip with a bunch of guys to North Carolina, and has been gone since Wendesday night. He''s coming in tomorrow, and this has been our first extended period of time away from each other. When he first told me about it, I was kind of excited to have time to myself. My friends and I had a fun girls'' night last night, but I''ve been missing him like crazy and I want to show him just how much I missed him!

I''m looking for ideas to do something sweet for him for when he gets back...kind of a "welcome home". Something that will make him happy to be back. I thought of a nice dinner, but I make dinner all the time. Any ideas on what you ladies have done in the past in similar situations? Maybe the long distance girls have some creative things...maybe something a little tiny bit on the sexy side, but nothing too crazy. I want to save that stuff more for our engagement night/wedding night/random nights when we''re married.

I have a limited amount of time...I pick him up from the airport at around 4pm tomorrow. Please post your ideas!!! Thanks in advance!

This isn''t very original, but I don''t think he''d object one bit if you had some fine wine/beer chilling and some tasty nibblies. Greet him at the door with a big hug and kiss and then as you''re nibbling and sipping compare stories about your time away from each other.

Here are a few ideas:

1. You could prepare a little treasure hunt for your partner. Before he gets home, hang a note on the door writing half a sentence, such as "I love you because…" Then, place another note in the hallway saying "Because you make me feel complete, and…." Then make an entire trail of notes, with the last one saying "I missed you so much. Welcome back." Or you could simplify things and just make a "Welcome Home" banner.

2. He''s probably going to be tired and hungry after the flight, so you could prepare him his favorite meal and have a candlelit dinner, have a few glasses of wine, and soft music in the background.

3. You could rent a movie and simply snuggle.

4. You could fix a bubble bath, get some aromatic candles, and relax.

), greet him at the door when he gets home with his favororite bottle of wine, some yummy snacks and his favorite dinner in the oven (or maybe some great thai takeaway ordered?). Light some candles, play some soft music and look gorgeous - what else could a man want?!

You cook, but you could cook something different, OR have a nice bottle of wine and great snacks out, and just tell him how much you missed him and how glad you are to have him home. Then you can show him!!!

It has always been so hard for me when FF goes away. We were apart for the first year we were together. Since then, he has moved here to be by me but usually every summer/ever other summer he flies home to see his family and is gone for almost 2 weeks! It is killer and I hate it!!! lol

When he comes back, we usually just go out to eat and talk about everything we did while apart. Mainly just hang out together.

Personally if after only a year, I went away and my SO had gotten me something to say he missed me I would be a little creeped out. I would give him a hug and tell him I missed him and leave it at that. Sorry to be so blunt.

AAAHHHH! His flight was SUPPOSED to get in at 5pm. He still hasn''t left yet, so they''re telling them the flight will get in around 9pm. I told him I was making him dinner, and he said for me to just go ahead and eat bc I''ll be starving by that time. I told him, NO WAY...I have some wine, cheese, crackers, and calamata olives (he loves those...I despise them) for him while he waits for my yummy dinner of apple ginger pork chops. So looks like we''ll be eating around 10pm. Oh well.
