New ACA Meets My VC Adriana

I have been thinking about swapping out my OEC for a colorless ACA in my ering for awhile. Well I took the plunge and I love the results! My OEC is 2.81 M and the tint was bothering me especially from the side. My new ACA is 2.52 G. Yes it’s a smidge smaller but the icy white sparkle bomb more than makes up for it! I love my Adriana setting by Victor so my new stone needed to fit the appropriate size parameters. I had Whiteflash put my Devine Miss M in a yellow gold 4 prong pendant where she looks resplendent.

I remember seeing your gorgeous "Divine Miss M" post and loving the OEC and thinking that it faced up very white! I picked an M OEC as well, so I'm curious if there was anything that bothered you specifically enough to pick a different stone.

I have a really pretty F color antique cushion that I found I wore more because the bright white just appeals to me more even though it’s smaller. When I would wear Divine Miss M I LOVED the larger size stone and the setting but the tint just started to bother me. For an M she does face up pretty white, but she’s still an M. Nothing wrong with that, but I would always switch back to my smaller whiter ring. I love my VC setting and decided for me a dazzling white ACA is what I would like as my ering. @Moonie please don’t let my preferences effect how you feel. Lower colored old cuts are stunning! Variety is the spice of life for me!

I have a really pretty F color antique cushion that I found I wore more because the bright white just appeals to me more even though it’s smaller. When I would wear Divine Miss M I LOVED the larger size stone and the setting but the tint just started to bother me. For an M she does face up pretty white, but she’s still an M. Nothing wrong with that, but I would always switch back to my smaller whiter ring. You are so lucky to have one of each! I saw your antique cushion too, such pretty faceting and I also love the vintage setting you chose for that one. I think I'm "lucky" in the sense that I'm not very color sensitive but I do wonder if having an M stone down the line will bothering me, especially in certain lights. I hope not, but I really like hearing stories of how people pick their stones
