Hello all,

Long time lurker here who is really regretting randomly running her fingers over the keyboard when finally making an account instead of making up an using an actual username - but I never intended to post...

My husband recently gifted me a beautiful French pave full eternity band for our 5 year wedding anniversary and I'm trying to figure out how best to wear it. I was intending on wearing it alone with my wedding band (Cartier Trinity xxs). I've always LOVED the look of the Cartier Trinity stacked with an eternity band, especially for everyday wear. I don't usually wear my engagement ring for daily errands nor at home, especially since the pandemic, but wanted to switch up the plain wedding band look a little.

However, now I'm feeling a little guilty about letting my e-ring get boxed out of the equation (which is maybe silly since I wasn't wearing it at home anyway...). I was even considering having it reset into a plain band so I could wear all three together, because the micropavé just can't compete with the eternity. BUT I absolutely love my wedding ring & e-ring together, and don't love the idea of losing that combination. I'm still vaguely open to resetting the e-ring, maybe into a pave rather than micropave?

So far I've been wearing the eternity on my right hand ring finger, I'm waiting for a spacer band to arrive because I don't want my wedding ring getting all scratched up. I don't hate it on the right hand, but am having a signet ring made for my right pinky and don't really want to wear them next to each other...

Gah. I feel silly even thinking about this so much, but am hoping you can relate to the "problem" of wanting to wear all your favorite pieces as much as possible

Any thoughts & suggestions would be appreciated!! Do you switch up your ring combinations daily? Would love to hear how you've incorporated anniversary bands!

the eternity is beautiful any way you want to wear it! Both bands look good alone , stacked and/or with your solitaire :kiss2::kiss2:

Thank you so much! Maybe I'm overthinking it then haha I really love it. I feel like so many on this forum have large collections of beautiful pieces, so maybe switching it up is a normal part of that - otherwise things won't get worn and that's a shame!

Beautiful doggy in your profile picture, by the way :kiss2:

I really like all the combinations & it's great to have options! I really like the trinity in the middle too!

Wow! All combinations are super elegant. It‘s great to have different ways to combine the band. I love them all. I have an eternity similar to yours - a 10 year anniversary gift. Since I never had an actual wedding band I use it as one now. Most days I find myself to just wear the eternity because it is simple, wearable but still blingy (I have a job where I can‘t usually wear too much bling).

Yip
stop over thinking and have some fun with different combinations and different fingers/ hands

nobody needs to or should stay at home in a box
especially when they are all so beautiful and look so good together and with the spacer band about to arrive all will be safe

plenty of time in the future to change up your ER if you still want to

Thank you!! It really is nice to have options. With only a wedding set before I guess it never occurred to me to switch things up - now I have some new combinations to play with =)2

Ooo I'd love to see a photo of your band, if you have one handy! I do love the simplicity of wearing only a band. I tried to search but couldn't find yours - I did see your solitaire, which is stunning!!

Thank you! I'm getting more used to the combinations now - actually trying them all out and taking the photos helped.

I think I was a little intimidated before to wear them all together - it felt like "too much," probably because my e-ring and wedding band are very thin and I'm just not used to something a little thicker.

But the more I play around the more love them all, especially together on one finger =)2

Your e-ring doesn’t need to compete — micropave and the eternity band are different enough sizes that they look complimentary. I would wear the trinity, then the eternity, then the e-ring.

I do understand wanting to wear everything at once — I reset a diamond from a ring that was sized for my ring finger into a low bezel setting for my middle finger because I was wearing the diamond to the exclusion of the rest of my collection.

Thank you!

Of course. Here you go. My (almost) everyday look. Thank you for the compliment on the solitaire :) And I love your rings!7289DB9D-88CD-4DC5-B275-BCC2BA398F74.jpeg

I don’t think there is any need to change the setting of your engagement ring.

All of the options shown look great so wear them as you wish.

Thank you for this - I think you’re totally right! They are different enough that they complement each other. I was worried about them together, but I agree. My engagement ring is officially safe from alteration

Ooo! do you have a photo/thread of that ring?

It’s beautiful!! Thank you for sharing - I love an eternity all on its own

Sure, the reset is near the bottom of the post.

I’ll weigh in because I find myself in the same quandary almost daily. :mrgreen2: I like all the combinations you’re considering! I myself have a Cartier Love band in yellow gold that I’ve now started wearing with my emerald cut diamond band; I, too, love the look of the Cartier and diamond bands together. I do find myself wearing that combo more when I feel a bunch of bling would be a bit much for the situation. But then sometimes I wear the diamond band with my e-ring, which is a bunch of bling and I always feel like it’s “too much.” But your combinations all look very clean and tasteful to me. I say wear them all depending on your mood!

The longer I'm on this forum and the more I play around with my new ring...the more I'm realizing there is no such thing as too much and I just love all the sparkle :D I'm now even thinking of getting myself some diamond studs just to round it all out haha

Also the ring in your profile picture is absolutely spectacular!!! I don't think I could get anything done with a ring like that on my hand, I'd be so distracted looking at it all day!

I love options. I love stacking, too.

All of the pictures you have shown, looks great on.

Humour me, wear your eternity as the base band and then the Cartier, as a stack and take a pic?

I have worn my micropave engagement and wedding rings with my eternity band for years. Personally, I think it comes down to proportions, and yours look lovely. I agree with @oncrutchesrightnow’s suggested order. Bit really, you can’t go wrong! Try everything and enjoy!

Thanx. So many options!!!

Oh my!!! Beautiful. This just makes me want two eternity bands something to look forward to in the long run…

I love the mixed metal look as well. Looks like I’ll be in good company switching up my configuration regularly!

I'm afraid I cannot be of assistance. I would tell you to wear it all on the same finger <3 IMG_0224.jpg
