Still a newbie, but here is my third gem stone ring/purchase.

This is my new garnet from Barry Bridgstock set in a pre owned setting from DB.

I love, love, love the finished ring. Barry, as you all know, is amazingly nice and has great stones.

8mm Garnet and 7.5 size ring

Here she is on a nice sunny day we had yesterday. Its a camera phone pic but came out well i think.

Ohh I love it!

Its an elegant ''twist'' (pun intended) on a classic solitaire!

So pretty! Enjoy!

thanks! It is definitely a favorite.

here is barry''s picture.

I can''t say enough what a nice guy he is. Super great customer service, even if he teases about the weather:)

Great garnet and I love the setting.

What is "DB" and how did you mean "preowned?"

Did Barry set that stone for you?

Looks terrific on you!!!

pretty, I love the rope setting!

I love the stone and the setting. Very pretty!

Your new garnet is a lovely color, and thank you for posting a pic of Barry''s so we can see how close in color it is to real life color. It''s a beautiful raspberry.

simple and lovely -- lets the color speak for itself!

That is a superb combination!

Thanks for all the compliments! I will try to get so side shots to show of the wonderful profile.

Sorry for the short hand- DB (to me at least) is DiamondBistro. It was a used/preowned setting. It originally had a diamond in it. Couldn''t afford such a great ring with diamond, but luck had it that she separated the diamond and setting. So I was able to get the setting i was lusting after, after all.

I had it set in Chicago at Radiance Fine Jewelry in Bucktown. It was a bit more than I was hoping at $100, but PSers had quoted a range up that high and the stone was on the edge of max room in the setting. (listing said 7.5mm, stone is 8mm, so i knew it was a squeeze)I was afraid I wouldn''t be able to find someone that would set it. She also took care of a few areas where there was minor damage from the removal of the diamond. And she did claw prongs at my request because that is what the ring originally had. So, over all happy with it. Not sure I can afford $100 setting prices every time though.

Very pretty!!

Lovely stone and lovely setting. I love Barry''s gemstones.

It''s always a good feeling to get something you like within budget and going with a preowned setting is a great deal too.

Beautiful garnet matched with a simple yet pretty setting. Wonderful ring result! Congrats
