New, but not new

Hi,

I'm new to most, but did this "waiting" game many years ago... But now I'm with a new guy and things are going great. We've been together for a little over 9 months (minus a few weeks in the middle). We are not living together and don't plan on doing so until we get married (yes, we've talked about it), however we live in the same town only a few miles apart so we are hardly ever without seeing eachother for very long.

I would really love a pink spinel center stone with white sapphire accents, but am having a very hard time finding something I really like. I'm hoping that I can find my perfect ring (or get surprised with it). I love cushion cuts and halos. He knows that I'm dying for a pink center stone so if he's smart that's what he'll look for but I'd love to point him in the right direction. The slight problem is that he doesn't really do computers and internet, he's going to make this tought I believe.

Anyways...wish me luck in this "waiting" game of life.

Similar stories, I was on the list for YEARS with the now exBF. Got off last May, we broke up in June. I started dating Andrew in July so it's been almost 11 months. We have the ring. He's moving in at the end of July. We've agreed that being engaged by the end of our first year living together as our timeline. I anticipate Christmas though!

When it's right, it's somehow easier and harder to wait at the same time. I played the waiting game with my ex of 5 years, but I was definitely more excited about getting married than actually marrying him. Much different feeling this time around.

I hope your wait isn't too long, it sounds like you guys have things pretty well figured out.

On the hunt for a cushion spinel, what kind of pink to you like?

I like all kinds of pinks! I'm thinking a soft pink though maybe one that will look purple sometimes (do they make them that color?) I have a beautiful set of pink sapphires, earrings and necklace, actually that I love (BF got them for me for my birthday), so I've been pondering the idea of maybe getting a pink sapphire... so many choices on colors, gems/stones and cuts it makes it hard for a girl to choose!

There are SO many shades of pink. So start by narrowing it down to what real color you want! Then figure out of sapphire or spinel will suit that color best. Eeeee!! Exciting!
