Setting is Palladium. Not so sure I like the prongs as as they hide the corners.

I'm not sure if I am allowed to post the site I ordered from. Excellent people to work with. Great price. And they put up with a great deal of grief from me. Very professional. If I can post the site I will post on a later post. The orange is from my shirt reflecting.

REally cool setting Steve! that's very different :appl:

Are you not completely happy with the corner prongs? what does your FI think of them - or does she have the ring yet?

Congratulations on your (??pending??) engagement!

Very pretty! I love asschers! It does make me wonder if they used a princess head on that ring because that is how princess corners are sometimes set. An asscher doesn't have pointed corners, so that doesn't exactly seem like the right way to set the stone to me. But it looks fine; I just think they could have done it better.

Steve,

The setting is very unique and beautiful, but I get what you are saying about the prongs. For me, the beauty of an asscher is its distinctive corners. However, if your fiancée loves the setting I would let it be. Congrats on your future engagement!

Lovely!!

What a unique and pretty setting!

I agree with DS regarding the prongs...

when are you proposing??

She said yes!!!!

I may have the prongs changed to more of a post style to show off the corners.

Thanks for your replies.

Woo Hoo on the proposal!!! :appl:

I agree with changing the prongs - show off the corners of the ascher since they don't need the same massive coverage a princess would.

Lets see some hand shots now!

Lovely asscher the prongs are weird, I agree. They belong on a princess cut not on an asscher.

Beautiful asscher and I love the setting, however I definitely think you need to have the prongs changed out. Congrats!

It's fantastic! I love the contrast between the straight lines of the asscher and the curved lines of the setting. They really compliment each other!

AFAIK you can certainly post the site you used...

Beautiful! Congratulations! I would probably change the prongs though if you can.

Looks great on her hand :)

It looks gorgeous on her hand! Congratulations on your engagement :appl:

Congrats on the engagement - beautiful asscher!

I got the ring from diamondconciergeservice.com. Ron, Bruce, and Manisha were very professional.

Very interesting design and lovely stone! :appl:

Question is: how does she like the prongs??

What a beautiful stone and unique design!

Such a beautiful and unique setting...I love it!

Very pretty. Hope you have good luck in changing the prongs. I agree with DS. Changing the prongs will give that light and airy setting a
more delicate look that it deserves but it is certainly ok as is too. Glad she loves it.

Before you take it back to get the prongs changed, scan thru some photos here and on line of prongs you like. I'm a prong fanatic and I love the spider/pigeon/tear drop looking prongs of Victor Canera, as an example. DBL and SK also have similar prongs on some items. If you had this remade with double spider claws... it would be TDF --- in my opinion!!!

Good luck!

I don't think there is going to be a change. She loves her ring the way it is. I like the single spider claw prong but, I doubt anything will change. Thanks for all of your help and comments.
