Help me please. I am going nutts! And to know I almost posted a photoshop request...the night before Irina left. Whoa is me. Thanks for any insight or opinion you might offer.
I have this idea, design in my head. I had contacted three of the favorite designers...and although they are eager to take project, without a drawing, not sure anyone understands the simplicity of my vision.
Looking through LM site tonight...I saw it! He is the Master, bar none. His design is fully loaded of course...what I want is a stripper model/just metal. So you have to squint to get past all the beauty of his work. I don''t know how to post an image from his site, but the style is R864/Ring Solitaire 423. This image shows pave everywhere. And sort of a cascade or swoop style to the basket. And although it is breathtaking the way it is, I just want non pave non swoop. To be worn with a shared prong eternity.
Cliff notes: I hope to achieve a simple basket head with dual claw prong tips (4 prongs-8 tips). But the most important element is I want the basket to be shaped just like a martini glass or funnel. Stone set low...but the basket to run in the same degree as the pavillion as it makes it to the culet. And not much wider than the stone. A bottom open donut that is part of the shank, and then an upper donut that is slender and falls way short or below of the girdle. No cathedral sides or wings...just a round shank...and stacked donuts.
______ this line represents the table
__________ this line represents the girdle
----------- this line represents the upper donut of the basket head
--- this line represents the lower donut that the culet lowers into.
I know it looks similar to any other head. And I am sure it sounds like I am splitting hairs. For some reason this it the only thing my eye will be happy with. My stone is 2.11 RB at 8.37 mm. I think I want the shank narrow...2.2 or 2.5. Any input? Or do you want the chance to use my pumpkin as a pinata?
(I believe there are a few already inline)
