I should''ve put this up a few months ago - oops! FH and I had a great trip to NYC which was made all the better when he proposed!

Here are the stats...
1.21ct, I, Si1, 6.87dia, AGC ideal cut. Set in the plat legato sleek line setting.

Thanks again to all the folks who gave me such good advice about choosing the stone. If I had walked into a shop here (UK) there is no way I would have got something like it!

Wedding is on June 27th this year, so lots of planning is going on.

PS My camera and my photography skills are rubbish, so all my handshot pics have come out far too blurry, sorry!

Thanks! I really like the way it tapers in near the stone - I think it''s nice and delicate. Also a plain wedding band will tuck in good and snug too. Although, looking at all the channel set bands on here makes me reconsider my "plain band" idea!!

A first attempt at attaching a pic! I have enjoyed everyone else''s photos for so long, I will try and return the favour!


So, this photo was taken a few short minutes after I said yes. We went out of a lovely lunch at Bouley (sp) restaurant in New York, and after dessert this plate of sweets was given to us. I had gone out to the bathroom for the 100th time (had an inkling it was going to be the day) and on my arrival back to the table the waitress was pouring 2 glasses of champagne AS SLOWLY AS I HAVE EVER WITNESSED!! I very nearly took the bottle off her and poured them myself. It was excruciating. Anyhow, once she left my FH suggested I might like a sweet, and suggested a tuille biscuit in the centre of the plate. When I lifted it up, the ring was underneath. Hooray!

I said yes, champagne was drunk, all the family at home in the UK phoned from call boxes outside, and I spent a lot of the day - as still do spend a lot of my day - waving my left hand around like a fool.
