My birthday/anniversary/thank-you-for-taking-care-of-Emily-post-spay-while-I'm-gone (okay, I added the last bit) gift came in early A very big thank you to Sheerah, Vera, and Leon for this beauty!!
Oh my goodness I LOVE this ring!!! I should've realised that I'm one of the Band Folk at heart
The stones are 15pointer ACAs - their stock F/G stuff. The amount of sparkle these little guys manage is incredible! The colour of the metal is irresistibly opportunistic: sometimes creamy, sometimes white, sometimes an inexplicably steely grey... I was very happy to find that it's actually a perfect match for an 18k band of unknown alloy that I already have.
I had it sized at 4.5 to fit both hands, that turned out to be a bit optimistic and it fits my right hand perfectly but is liable to fall off my left without another band in front. Oh well, can't complain It hardly spins on my left despite being really loose and doesn't spin at all on my right - I suppose the fact that it's a bit wider so there's more surface area in contact with skin helps with that, and I'm guessing the gold-filled U helps weigh it down a bit more than a thin bar would. That was Leon's idea
DH loves it too. Or, perhaps rather more likely, he loves that I love it, gleeful distraction included
