Hi All,
I have been lurking here for a while now. I love it here, all of the information is invaluable and I just love everyone''s ring (although I start to obsess and then that gets me into trouble). I found this forum as I was trying to find a new setting for my marquise wedding diamond and yikes!, I wanted it in yellow gold.
Yes, I know that- a) marquise are not popular, and b) yellow gold is not popular either. Because of the lack of settings available (pretty much none), I went ahead and had one custom made by Simon G. It just came today and I had to share!! I LOVE IT!!!

I wanted yellow gold because I had upgraded and purchased a whole new ring set last year in white gold, but wouldn''t wear my yellow gold watches because it just didn''t match! (at least that is what I told my husband ).
I had a very difficult time ordering custom because I was worried that I wouldn''t like it. I finally decided just to go for it in February so turnaround was just over two months. When I got the call from my jeweler, I was very worried, I told them I didn''t want to see it because what if i hated it, but they helped to reassure me. I just didn''t want for it to look outdated.
Well, here it is. It has a center marquise that is just around 1.5 carats, but it looks a lot bigger.
