New OEC from JbeEG

My diamond anniversary came 40 years early--35th instead of 75th (so glad I didn't have to wait that long!). I'm the very proud new owner of a 2.93 carat OEC from the ladies of JbyEG. The setting is vintage platinum low set and perfect for the stone. The ring is magnificent and beyond anything I ever thought I'd own. My husband certainly scored some points here and we may actually make it to our 75th anniversary...

I can relate!!! Ours was the day after Christmas, which was kind of nuts, but my husband had another semester of college left and I was in my first year of teaching, so we were constrained by the holiday schedule.

I was just thinking this morning that in so many aspects of my life I've had to compromise or "settle" if you will and that's OK, it's just part of life. I've been so fortunate though, that living with my DH has not ever been a compromise. He understands me. And this ring is an example. It's a dream come true and he knew that it would finally end my continual search for the perfect ring. And he's right! It's everything I want in a stone and ring and for the 1st time in my jewelry life, I'm not settling. I got it all. Pretty cool if you ask me!!
